People like her weren't supposed to be born anymore;
They were all supposed to perish under the wheels of those who sought their destruction.
But she didn't believe that.
Born under the most mystical cosmic energies,
She was the light her people awaited.
She was born a leader,
And her rigid heart had no place for love
Truth, honor, and duty;
That was all she was ever taught.
For love was the reason people like her were killed for the first time.
And she had no intentions for repeating history.

People like him did not believe in the notions of peace or redemption.
For redemption occurs to those who deserved it;
And peace was just a relative term.
Broken beyond repair,
He hid his heart behind stone walls
For it to never be seen again.
He was far too hurt to let his cold facade slip;
Far too afraid to trust again;
And utterly shattered to allow himself to feel.
He believed he deserved the cruelty he received,
And that made him entitled to return it.

When her onyx orbs got caught up in the storms that his torrential seas brought?
When his chaos danced with her demons;
And when her touch calmed the beast inside him?
The world found a new rhythm.
The rhythm of a chaotic peace, a cosmic relief, and a colossal reprieve.
