5 years later

"Can you bring the girls to school!?" Hayley yells as I am making breakfast.

"Sure!" Hope and Alora come running down the stairs giggling away. Hayley comes out of the bathroom pulling her hair up in a high pony. I sit the food on the table and we eat.

"What are you two girls giggling about?" I ask putting a pancake into my mouth. It wasn't as appetizing as a blood bag but it would do for now. The girls looked so grown up being in the first grade in all.

"Nothing." Hope said they continued to laugh. I sighed letting out a small chuckle. Picking up mine and Hayley's plates, placing them in the sink. I watched as two lit candles flew in the sky the girls completely oblivious. I hurried over using my supernatural speed and grabbed them before they dropped and set a fire. Me and Hayley gave each other a look of worry.

"Girls promise me you will try your hardest not to let a tiny spell happen. I mean it." Hayley said the girls turned their heads to us and sighed.

"We promise." They said in unison. I sighed blowing out the candles.

We approached the school and I turned around. "Please be good. I don't want another phone call that either of you hurt someone again." I watched as Alora squinted her eyes focusing on a small piece of paper on the floor she then lifted with her mind, and up to my face. I snatched it down.

"And no magic!" I said they looked disappointed and walked out.

"Love you all!" I yelled and they hopped out. I sighed looking through the mirror at them as they walked up being greeted by teachers. I drove off. Listening to my favorite song.

I hit a stop light and sat there. I over and on the floor board of the passenger seat was a letter. I ignore it but I had an empty pit in my stomach that something was wrong.

***

I walked inside clutching the letter in one hand. I walked upstairs and into my room. I was shaking but I opened it. I looked down at the date to see if there was one, but instead I found this. Dear Niklaus. I gasped tears springing in my eyes. I covered my mouth and read it carefully.

Dear Niklaus,

I know you are probably creating misery somewhere and don't have the time to read my letter. But I was just here to tell you me and y/n are doing great. We so far have been to France, Australia, Japan, and many more places. Who knew I could love someone so much. She really does make me happy. I hope your well.

Tears fell on the paper bending it slightly. I wiped them away taking deep breathes, remembering those days. I closed the letter placing it on my bed. Lightly sobbing into my hands. I hear a few knocks on my door and see Klaus.

"You alright love?" He asks walking in.

I chuckled a bit at the word love. "You know I hate it when you call me that." I say he sits next to me. I wipe my eyes and sniff holding in the rest of the tears.

"Well you better get over that." He says with a smirk. I roll my eyes at him as I push him slightly. He looks over at the letter and his face went from happy to mad. Which I don't understand why.

"Get another one?" He asks nudging over to the letter.

"Yeah, I don't know who is giving these to me. It's not you, Hayley, Freya, Bex, Kol, no one." I sigh looking at my hands I realize they were healing from me digging my nails into my skin. I close my hands trying to cover them.
