I do love you

I sat in the car with Klaus on our way to who knows where to find Kol. I messed with the ring on my finger and turned it, I watched as Klaus looked as I did so. He put his eyes back on the rode and the rode and fields behind us got smaller as we drove away. "So, you and Elijah. You back together." My eyes widened as I fixated my eyes to the rode.

"I- um, don't know what we are." I looked down back at the ring that had a row of diamonds, went from big to small on each size with a silver circle. I put it up squinting through the hole.

"Oh come one love, don't lie to me." I gave him a glare then placed the ring back on my finger.

"Stop calling me that. But yes I love him and I care about him and I think he feels the same way, I don't know. But you know what happened last time, we made it official and then I was almost on my death bed. I decided he shouldn't worry about me so I cut ends. I still loved him but I didn't want him to worry about me." I then looked down noticing scratch's down my leg from stress. They quickly healed but blood still sat on it.

"Love don't hurt yourself, it was just a question. But he does love you." He smiled his Klaus smile at me and I nodded and looked at the rode to see a car turned upside down a body attempting to crawl out.

"KLAUS STOP!" We slammed on our brakes making the back of the car slightly turn. I quickly unbuckled my belt looking at Klaus with a worried look and we hopped out. I ran over to the car seeing a familiar sandy blonde, curly haired boy crawling out. He coughed after inhaling tons of smoke.

"Kol?!" I ran over to him and helped pry the door open. Knowing he was in a witch body from Esther if he was injured bad enough he would die. Klaus ran over slowly pulling him out as he winced in pain, even a small tear rolling down his cheek.

His head laid on my lap on the hot rode. He smiled up at me coughing after. Blood, bruises, and cuts everywhere. "I bet at this moment you wish you were a vampire." I said checking his body with just my eyes to see if their was any other injuries.

"I don't think he was hurt anywhere else. But who did this? If someone hit you we would see the car, this must be supernatural." I stated Klaus fixing his eyes on a small piece of paper hung on the tree that was left to the rode. He ran over pulling it off and running back.

As he read it aloud I was confused thinking of who could possibly miss Klaus. Don't get me wrong I love him and his family, but not many people, or supernaturals liked them. Especially Niklaus Mikaelson. Klaus face went from nervous to confused in a matter of seconds.

"Ok Klaus think of people, old flings, friends."

He stared at me with an angry face and then read it over and over. Kol continued to cough and groan from the pain. "I-I was heading to, you guys. But- the car flipped." Kol tried to laugh but he couldn't. I nodded and Klaus slowly handed the note to me. I read it just like he did but turned it over to the back.

I looked at Klaus. "What does that spell?"

"I don't know, let's take him home." I nodded and me and Klaus helped pick him up. As we limped him to the car we almost fell multiple times. Until finally we laid him down in the back seat and we hopped in the front.

•time skip•

I arrived home and we helped Kol onto the couch. Everyone besides the kids from napping. "Oh my god what happened to Kol!" Hayley said. Elijah came up to me and put his hands on mine, then placed them on my face tucking my hair behind my ears. I melted with his touch. He then looked into my eyes," are you ok?" I nodded and then went in for a hug, hugging him tighter than ever before. He gently placed his hand on my head. Everyone wasn't paying any attention to us because they were more worried about Kol.

My face digging into the crook of his neck before pulling away. "Someone's always gonna get hurt." I said his slight smile going to a straight face.

"I'm afraid so." I nodded walking away and over to Kol.

"Is he gonna be ok?" I asked.

"He should be, none of his injuries were to serve so he should make it." Freya said and I nodded heading to Alora to check on her. Her and Hope were snuggled up together on the bed. I smiled and saw Elijah walk in. I pointed out to the door and we made our way to his room to talk.

We sat in silence, only the sound of the outside world. "Elijah." He turned his head to me.

"What are we?" His face scrunched together trying to think.

"What do you mean?"

"Like are we together?" I felt my cheeks flush and then his hand gently place on the right side of my face and pull me to face him. I stared into his eyes as they glistened. His mouth opened to speak.

"Elijah," I pulled his hand off holding it in my hand. "I love you, and always have but I don't want you to have to worry about me. When you have others that are more important." He hushed me up with a kiss. I slowly wrapped my arms around his neck and his hands going to my waist. Until I let go and stared into his eyes, he tucked my now lose hair behind my ears.

"I do love you. And you are just as important as them." I smiled and pulled him into a hug digging my face into his neck and his hands on my back.
