KERA CAN STILL TASTE death on her tongue. It still lingers around her, coated and stained against her skin, burning and fizzing at her flesh to the bone as if it was acid.

        It leaves her feeling hollow.

Tears spring in the corners of her eyes and Kera lowers herself onto a wall of the hull of the Razor Crest, seating herself on the floor beside one of the storage crates. It's always been automatic of how her fingers lift to trace the white brandished symbol littered with the scars of her own hand at the nape of her neck.

From across the hull, Kera can see how the child looks to Kera with tender, warm eyes and its slender ears droop. The child understands a whole lot more than she'd ever thought.

The child speaks inaudibly under his breath and waddles on his feet towards Kera, plopping down beside her wounded leg. Kera hadn't cared much for it. In reality, she didn't care much about anything at the moment. She was possibly more delicate and brittle than ever before ── resembling nothing more than a balance beam almost tipping to the side; no longer balanced. Kera had lost people she'd loved. In her eyes, it's more pain than a hundred blaster wounds.

The child reaches, a hand pressed against her thigh and flutters his eyes closed and she can feel the thrum of energy coursing through the air. It's the first sign of the child's force sensitivity. She can sense it. Kera gathers what the child is doing instantly, "Hey kiddo. I'm not that hurt. It's just a little scratch."

The child seems to disagree with a selection of gargles and whines.

Kera forces a smile for the sake of the child and nods assuringly. "Yes, it is perfectly alright, kiddo. Why don't you go find your papa yeah? I'm sure he's missed you just as much as I have."

The child tilts his head and coos before once again settling beside her. Kera sighs when she hears the Mandalorian descending the ladder from the cockpit and down into the hull. He must have set the navigation system to Takodana.

"Hey you," Kera whispers and the child nestled beside seems to coo in a greeting of his own. The Mandalorian turns to her, tucking a medpac under his arm.

"Hey, kid. . . Kera," The Mandalorian greets before he walks towards Kera and settles it on the crate beside her.

At his actions, Kera arches a brow at the Mandalorian and he explains. "So, you can fix it up that wound." He nods towards the refresher to the side of the Razor Crest and adds, "And clean yourself up."
