When I got back to the dorm later that night, I sat Raven and Octavia down and told them what had happened. They freaked out. I Facetimed Mom and Aunt Aurora and told them both what was going on while Octavia Facetimed Bellamy and Jasper. Everyone was horrified at the situation.

Mom suggested I come home and take the rest of the semester off, but I refused.

"I'm not going to let Finn run me out of town," I argued.

Raven was probably angrier than anyone else in the conversation. At first, she demanded I not leave the dorm until they caught Finn. Bellamy suggested he, Lincoln, and Jasper go on a manhunt and "drag Finn's ass up the police station."

Mom said she was going to drive down that weekend and stay at the beach house with me, but Aunt Aurora reminded her there was supposed to be a huge snow storm headed through New Haven. She suggested that I and everyone else stay at the beach house together over the weekend.

"It'll be safer there and your mom and I will keep in touch with you guys," Aunt Aurora said.

"Dude, that sounds so therapeutic," Octavia sighed.

"Actually, it really does," Raven added. "Plus, we'll be able to watch you more and keep you safe."

"I'm not completely defenseless, Rave," I rebutted.

For some reason, I thought back to prom night, the image of Raven tackling Finn and holding me in her arms for hours afterwards still fresh in my mind. She was always there for me and I realized that trying to convince Raven to back off was like trying to wrestle a bone from a wild dog. After rescuing me that night at prom, she had every right to go to whatever lengths necessary to defend me. I guess she and I had that in common. She was willing to protect me in the same way I'd tried to protect Lexa.

Mom told me she loved me and to call her as much as I could over the next few days. I promised I would and ended the call. It's funny how times of crisis make you forget bad blood. The drama between me and Mom had started over her boyfriend Marcus Kane moving in with her. I know it had been years since Dad died, but it felt like a betrayal, like she didn't miss him as much as I missed him. It was selfish the way I was behaving, but I couldn't help it. We'd barely talked since the last fight we'd had at the beginning of the semester. It was over something stupid, that much I remembered. But now, I'd put all that anger aside and realized how petty I'd been acting. Maybe all this shit happening with Finn had a positive side. It was opening my eyes to what was important in my life.

Octavia was already helping Raven pack by the time I got off Facetime. Octavia threw some tee-shirts into Raven's Nike duffle bag, which Raven objected to.

"O, we're not going to the fucking moon," she complained. "I don't need all this stuff."

"Fine," Octavia relented, removing one of the shirts and stuffing it back in the dresser. "Guess your Star Wars shirt will have to be someone else's fashion mistake."

Raven grabbed the tee-shirt back out of the drawer and playfully tried to make Octavia put it on. "Join us!" she exclaimed, attempting to remove Octavia's hoodie.

Octavia broke into insatiable laughter while trying to break out of Raven's grasp. I watched the scene unfold from the bed in amusement until Raven enlisted my help. I joined in and we both chased Octavia around the room before eventually giving up. I collapsed on my bed with Octavia while Raven plopped down on her bed across from us.

Suddenly, reality set in. The impending dread of the implication behind our weekend getaway hit us all simultaneously. We all exchanged worried glances. I looked over at Octavia who had a look in eyes I rarely saw.
