The Wildfire

She runs, wild and free..
A naked flame, dancing upon the treetops,
Leaping, like a ballerina..
Burning solar bright, brilliant yellow and blue, blinding darkness and blackened skies, a haze of ash, a smouldering carcass..
I suffocate slowly beneath a sickening sooty swill..

With her slender fingers of fire,
She reaches only to strangle breath and claw open my veins, bleeding rivers of red.. All existence will cease in her wake..

She briths us anew, before she sleeps so pretty..
There will be but a beat to breathe, before she awakes again with her fury and beauty, to run wild and free, once again..
