Ash and Gladion arrived at Aether Paradise and Wicke greeted them. "Hello Gladion and Ash! It's good to see you again Ash!" "Hello again, Wicke. I need information on the Ultra Beasts." Ash said. "Ah, well, Lusamine can give you all the information she gave the Ultra Guardians. She is currently up in her office." Wicke said. Ash raised his eyebrow at the mention of 'Ultra Guardians'. Ash and Gladion thanked her and went up to Lusamine's office.

"Hello, mother." Gladion greeted, once they'd reached the office. "Hello, Lusamine." Ash said. "Gladion! Ash! It's so good to see you again, Ash!" she responded. "It's good to see you again too, Lusamine. If you don't mind, can I get some information on these Ultra Beasts?" Ash asked. "Ok. I have all the information in this file." Lusamine opened up a file and typed in a password.
"Here you go." she said. She got up and said, "Well, I have a meeting to attend to, so I'll just leave you boys to it." She left and closed the door behind her. The boys walked over to behind the desk to see the computer. Ash was shocked to see the file titled 'Ultra Beast Info For Ultra Guardians'. "What the heck..." he trailed off. "What?" Gladion asked. "What are the Ultra Guardians?" Ash asked. Gladion had a look of shock on him.
"That's right! I can't believe I forgot to tell you!" Gladion said. "Soo..?" "The Ultra Guardians are a group of teenagers our age who go to the Pokemon School and are in Professor Kukui's class. They use their pokemon to catch Ultra Beasts. Then Aether Paradise helps open up an Ultra Wormhole to send them back home." Gladion explained. "So, what are their names?" Ash asked. "There is Kiawe, who is a fire type trainer. Then there's Lana who is a water type trainer. Then there's Mallow who owns Aina's Kitchen with her dad and is a great cook. She is more of a grass type trainer. Then there is Sophocles who makes inventions. He specializes in electric type. Lastly, there's my sister, Lillie. She only has Snowy, her alolan vulpix. She fears touching any pokemon other than Snowy." Gladion explained. Ash just kept nodding his head at every bit of information.
*If you ask me, they sound like ole 'troublesome group' at the academy.* pikachu said. *Troublesome?* Sparkle asked. *You'll see when we get back to the Pokemon Academy.* pikachu sighed. *Ugh. I hope we don't MEET them.* mew said. "Hey, Ash. If you want, we could head over to the Pokemon School and meet them." Gladion said. "You won't take no for an answer, will you?" "Nope." "Ugh. Fine." *NOO!!* Mew and pikachu chorused. *Oh, be quiet. They can't be that bad. I mean, they are the 'Ultra Guardians'.* Ash said. *Says the one who decided to join the academy.* pikachu muttered. *I heard that! And for the record, how was I supposed to know there were going to be annoying people there?!* Ash countered. *It's literally an academy full of kids.* pikachu said. *You know I couldn't refuse. It was top secret mission that was important. If I hadn't came then I wouldn't have....found the info I've found.* *Ugh. Whatever.* pikachu mumbled.
Pikachu laid down and curled up on the desk. "When should we go?" Ash asked. "What about now?" Gladion suggested. Ash sighed. He didn't have anything to do and he kindaaa, just a tiny bit, wanted to meet these 'Ultra Guardians'. If they fended off Ultra Beasts, then they had to be strong. Not as strong as him, of course, but strong none the less.

They headed through the forest of Melemele. They soon came across a large building with a bunch of other people playing and training with their pokemon. There was a small group of kids riding tauros. Ash stayed in the forest, while Gladion walked up to someone watching. She had long blonde hair, the same color as Gladion's. "Big brother!" she said surprised. "Hey Lillie. Can you gather the others an meet me in the classroom?" Lillie was, once again, surprised. "How come?" she asked. Gladion smirked. "I want you to meet someone." he replied before walking towards the pokemon school. Gladion arrived in a nice, well organized classroom. A few minutes later, Ash walked through the door. "Wow. I have to say, this place is nice." Ash commented.

"Big brother, we're here." the girl from earlier said, as she walked into the room with four other people.
"Guys, I want to introduce Ash. He is also working with the Aether Foundation on getting rid of the Ultra Beasts." Gladion said. Kiawe inspected Ash and saw his Z-ring. "Hey. How do you have a Z-ring? You haven't competed in any island challenges before." Kiawe said. "I got it from Tapu Koko the last time I was here." Ash responded bluntly. He heard collective gasps. "You got it from Tapu Koko?!" Mallow asked. Ash just nodded. He was beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable. "I read about Tapu Koko." the blonde girl said. Ash then remembered how Gladion had called her Lillie.
"Tapu Koko is very well known as the guardian who likes to help islanders, but it also likes to play tricks on people. And if it thinks it's necessary, it can even punish them. I also read that on rare occasions, it will give mysterious gifts to people it likes." Lillie finished. Ash just nodded. He already knew that stuff. Arceus had given him a LOT of information.
"Okk, well it was nice meeting you and I have somewhere to be sooo-" Ash was cut off. "Not so fast. Come on, don't you wanna have some battles?" "Ugh. Fine." "Ash, I wanna battle you!" Kiawe said. "Ok. I accept." Ash replied.
