"Every 2 years, 3 major academies come together and have a tournament. The tournament is called the Clash of Academies. The 3 major academies are us, Sage Academy, and Brightport Academy. We haven't won the Academy Cup in 6 years, so we're hoping we'll win it this year! And even better news! The Clash of Academies is being held here this year!" Professor Sycamore explained. A ring of cheers rose out throughout the stadium. "It is split into 2 sections. One is the Battle War, and the other is the Contest Collision. There will be 20 students from each academy that will participate. 10 will participate in the Battle War, and 10 will participate in the Contest Collision. It will be taking place in 5 days. The 20 students from each academy will be arriving 2 days early in order to get settled in and learn their way around. The tournament will last a week. If you would like to sign up for the Battle War or the Contest Collision, the sign up sheets are at the front of the academy. Tryouts will be after lunch, so if you want to sign up, I suggest you do it quickly. Now, off to your classes!"
Loud conversations and murmurs broke out through the stadium. Everyone was excited for the Clash of Academies. People started to get up and leave the stadium, headed to their various classes. "Sounds interesting..." Ash murmured. Ash didn't seem very mad anymore, so pikachu thought it was safe. "Should we enter?" he asked. "Of course!" mew replied. "Alright. We'll sign up after first period." Ash said. He got up and his pokemon got in their usual places. Ash walked out of the stadium.

RING!
The bell rang, and first period was over. Ash walked to the front of the school. So far, no one had gotten there yet. Ash put his name down for the Battle War. "Hey! Are you signing up for the battle war?" Ash was getting annoyed. "You probably won't make it. Sorry!" Gary said. "Have you forgotten how I sent your pokemon to the emergency room last time you tried to outnumber me?" Ash asked. This sent shivers down the gang's spines, but they stood their ground. "You may have beat us that time but that's because you had more than 6 pokemon and you were lucky." Drew said. "How did you have more than 6 pokemon, anyway?" Max asked. "Ugh. That's for me to know, and for you to not be nosy about." Ash replied. He turned around and walked away.
After Lunch
The whole academy had probably signed up for either the Battle War or the Contest Collision. Each teacher was either helping with the battle tryouts or the contest tryouts. There was a group of 20 students at each battlefield. Battlefields 1-20 were used for contest tryouts, while battlefields 20-50 were used for battle tryouts. For contest tryouts, they did contest battles and performances. For battles, they just, well, battled, until someone won.
Ash was at battlefield 31. His battle was #6. He was going against some guy named Tony. Easy. "Can I battle? Please!" Satin begged. "Ok. But no evolving." Ash answered. "Okay!"
"Meganium is unable to battle! Infernape is the winner, which means the match goes to Conner!" Professor Eli. That was battle #4. "Next up is battle #5! Oliver vs. Skylar! Will trainers please send out your pokemon!" Professor Eli said. "Come on out!" Oliver shouted. "You're up!" Skylar exclaimed. A marowak and a simipour burst from the pokeballs. "Battle begin!"
A Few Minutes Later
"Marowak is unable to battle! Simipour is the winner, which means the match goes to Skylar!" Professor Eli declared. "Next up is battle #6! Ash vs. Tony! Will trainers please send out your pokemon!" "Let's go!" Ash shouted. Satin ran from beside him, onto the battlefield. "Reveal yourself!" Tony shouted, throwing a pokeball. A blaziken burst from the pokeball. "Battle begin!"
"Use blaze kick!" Tony commanded. Blaziken's foot flamed up and it ran at Satin. "Double team!" Ash said. Satin multiplied into a bunch of eevees. There were more eevees since Satin was stronger than your average pokemon. Blaziken set his sight on one, but it turned out to be a fake. "Now use swift!" Ash ordered. Satin and his clones jumped up in the air and used swift on blaziken. It created a cloud of dust. "Use bulk up and follow it up with flare blitz!" Tony shouted. A flash of light appeared in the dust cloud and blaziken jumped out of it, on fire, and headed for Satin. "Double team again!" Ash commanded. A ton of other Satins appeared. Blaziken once again went right through a fake one. "Now use last resort and follow it up with double-edge!" Ash commanded. "Blaziken get up and use flamethrower!" Tony order. Satin created a giant, bright yellow star that he sent at blaziken. It hit the fire-type Hoenn starter.
Blaziken plowed through, though taking considerable damage. It used flamethrower on Satin and Satin narrowly dodged. "Use slash!" Tony shouted. "Use double-edge!" Ash ordered. Satin ran at blaziken and knocked it over. "Use copycat and then use double team!" Ash said. Clones of Satin appeared and blaziken was forced to use slash. It kept missing the real Satin. "Now finish it with a swift!" Ash commanded. Satin jumped up and used swift hitting blaziken. A dust cloud appeared, and when it faded, blaziken was fainted. "Blaziken is unable to battle! Eevee wins, which means the victory goes to Ash! Next up battle #7! Aspick vs. Gerry! Will trainers please..." Ash walked back to the sidelines, and pikachu, mew, and Sunshine congratulated him on his first official win.
A Few Hours Later
A lot of work had gotten completed and now the tryouts were almost over. They would continue on tomorrow. Ash and his pokemon had gone back to the forest to visit Ash's pokemon. After a while, they went back to the dorms and Ash, pikachu, mew, Satin, and Sunshine fell asleep.
