Pokémon Academy: Master Class

Chapter 2: The Battle!

"Magmar, stand by for battle!" Paul shouted. He threw a pokeball and Magmar came out. *I wanna battle!* Pikachu said. *I hate being a legendary sometimes.* Mew said. *At least you're famous! Some people spend their lives looking for you just to see you or get a picture!* Pikachu replied. *But I never get to battle since I'm a legendary!* Mew shot back. Ash just sighed. They really could get annoying sometimes, even if they're not talking out loud and it's just through aura.

*Ok pikachu you can battle. Don't go too hard on him though.* Ash said. "I choose you!" Ash exclaimed while he held out his arm. Pikachu ran down it and jumped onto the battlefield in it's battle stance. "Use flamethrower!" Paul commanded. "Dodge." Ash said lazily. Pikachu dodged so fast it looked like he teleported. "Pikachu thunderbolt." Ash said. *16% power.* Ash said through aura. "Pika chuuu!" The thunderbolt hit it's mark. Magmar fainted on the spot. Everyone was shocked.

In The VIP Box

"H-he one-shoted Magmar!?" May yelled. "W-what!?" Misty shouted. "That Pikachu is strong!" Gary exclaimed. "It was well raised." Brock said. They watched the battle in awe.

At The Battlefield

Paul returned Magmar. "Torterra stand by for battle!" Paul shouted. He threw a pokeball and Torterra came out. "Use frenzy plant!" Paul ordered. "Dodge." Ash said. Pikachu dodged it so fast you couldn't even see him. "Now use iron tail." Ash said. *21% power.* Ash said. "Pika pika pika chupi!" Pikachu used iron tail on Torterra's head and it fainted on the spot. Everyone's jaw was hanging open.

"Grr. Torterra return. Electivire stand by for battle." Paul yelled. He threw another pokeball and Electivire came out. "Use giga impact!" Paul commanded. Electivire used giga impact on Pikachu. Smoke appeared and when it was gone Pikachu was standing there like nothing ever happened, with no visible damage. "Electivire use discharge and then thunder punch!" Paul ordered. "Pikachu use iron tail to counter." Ash said. *27% power.* Ash ordered. "Pika pika chu pika!" Pikachu countered thunder punch with iron tail.

Paul smirked and said, "Now Electivire has the advantage. Pikachu can't let up even a little or it will be overpowered by thunder punch, while Electivire still has his other hand open." Ash raised his eyebrow and looked at the scene thoughtfully. "Now use brick break with your other hand!" "Pikachu thunderbolt!" Ash said. *30% power.* Ash commanded. "Pika chuuuuu!" The thunderbolt hit Electivire before it could hit Pikachu with brick break. It then fainted. The referee stared in shock. When he came back to his senses he said, "E-electivire is unable to battle. Pikachu is the winner, w-which means the victory goes to Ash." 

After the battle, everyone left the stadium and went to their respective classes. Ash went with the professor to the principal's office to get his schedule and his dorm key. His first class was science.

Time Skip To Lunch

Ash went into the cafeteria and got his lunch. He sat at an empty table and Pikachu sat on his lap. Ash gave Pikachu a few ketchup packets and Pikachu ate them happily. Mew floated down to his lap with Pikachu and Ash gave her a few pieces of fruit. *This stuff is great!* Mew said. *Not as good as ketchup!* Pikachu responded. *You know, ketchup is made from rotten tomatoes.* Mew stated. *It still tastes good!* Pikachu said. *Well anything rotten is gross!* Mew replied. *No, you're gross!* Pikachu argued. Ash just sighed and ate his food.

At another table, some of the other Master Class students were talking. "There's the new student. He's sitting at that table." May said pointing at Ash. "I wonder how he got so strong." Gary said. "Yeah. He one-shotted two of Paul's Pokémon." Dawn said. Paul grunted. "Sorry no offense." Dawn said. "Maybe I could go say hi and introduce myself." Serena said. "Ok. Tell us how it goes." Misty said. Serena walked over to Ash and said, "Hi I'm Serena. I'm also part of the Master Class." When Ash didn't said anything, she tried again and said, "I am Serena. Me and my friends want to be your friends." Ash was annoyed and said, "I didn't ask for friends so go away and leave me alone!" Pikachu jumped on his shoulder and Mew invisibly got on his head and he got up, threw away his tray and left the cafeteria.

Serena was on verge of tears. She went back to her table. Her friends saw that she was sad and started asking her questions. "Serena what happened?" Dawn asked. "Serena why are you sad?" Misty said. "I-I tried t-t-to introduce my-myself and b-be his friend, b-b-but he yelled at me." Serena said through sobs. She started to cry harder. Her friends tried to comfort her. "He's a jerk and it's not your fault." Dawn said. "Yeah. It's ok." May said. "We oughta teach that guy a lesson!" Drew said. "Yeah, no one messes with our friends and gets away with it." Gary said.
