Oliver's POV
"You have failed this city!" I said to the man cowering in fear before me. Although the thoughts kept saying 'You have failed City' i couldn't let myself falter. I swung my bow staff against his shoulder hearing a deafening "crack" escape it. He screamed in pain and i disappeared into the darkness behind me. i ran back back to my bike and quickly left the screaming man in his dark office building. I turned into the street and blended into the traffic easily; my helmet hiding my face as i sped down the roads. i pulled into the house and parked my bike behind my house. i took my helmet off and climbed up the wooden trellis to my window. I slipped it open and closed it quietly behind me as i took of my dark green hoodie; her hoodie. "Ollie?" Thea's voice broke into the silence and i turned to look at the young 17 year old. "Hey Speedy! Go back to sleep!" I whispered to her as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes. "Why is it so cold in here?" She asked as she pulled the sleeves of her top down. "I had my window open. i just shut it there, it'll heat up in a minute!" I said softly and she nodded. "Ollie, why is City's hoodie on the bed?" She asked me and my eyes slowly traveled to the fabric sitting on the bed behind me. "You do know that the hoddie is actually mine. Right Speedy?" I asked smiling at her and she gave me a slight smile.
"I still miss her Ollie!" She whispered as her eyes filled with some tears. I wiped them away and hugged her gently. "I still miss her too Thea, i loved her! I still do!" I said sadly and her grip tightened around me. "You've changed Ollie, ever since that day..." She trailed off softly as my body tensed. "Thea, she let me stay here while she went on that boat with dad for work! I should've been there with them, with her! I had to listen to her screaming as it happened, no one knows how that feels!" I whispered and she nodding while hugging me tighter.
****Flashback****
My phone began to ring as i finished drying my hair. i looked at the caller ID and saw "City" displayed on my screen. I smiled as i answered it.
O: Hi babe! Hows the trip going?
F: Hi babe! Trips going good so far! There is a storm but your dad said it'll just pass over us! How are you?
O: Just be careful City!
F: I will be Oliver! Now tell me how you are so we can leave this depressing topic of sinking boats! Actually would the gambit be a boat or ship because you dont say "sinking boat" you say "sinking ship" but the gambit isnt big enough to be a-
O: Felicity!
F:Sorry! I miss you Oliver, i cant wait to be back home!
O: I miss you too! Youll be home soon though
F: Its not the same though Oliver! Its been years since we have went a week or longer without each other!
O: I know City! Just be patiant because as soon as you're back you're getting ready to help with last minute touches on the wedding!
F: See i like that word! Reminds me i have something to come back too!
O:You'll always have me to come back to.
F: I know-
R: Felicity! Get your stuff we need to go!
O: City whats going on?
F: Robert why? I don't underst- *screams*
O: Felicity? Whats happening Felicity?
F: Oliver!
****Flashback Over****
"Ollie?" Thea's voice brought me out of my thoughts. I looked down at her and she had a small sad smile on her face. "I'm fine Thea!" I said and she shook her head. "The fact you already knew what i was thinking proves you're not!" I sighed. "I know it's hard and its only been 6 months but Ollie, City wouldn't want you to be this way!" She said and i stepped away from our hug. "She doesn't want anything! She's dead! The dead cant have wants and needs!" I said a little too harshly as i saw Thea's face. The disappoint evident in her features. "Ollie i honestly don't know what to say! I may not have been engaged to her but i still loved her just as much as you! She was like the big sister i never had! How do you think her family feels?" Thea shot back quietly and i felt my anger levels rising. "She has no family! We were her family!" I said back and she laughed bitterly. "No we aren't! As much as we wanted her to be and as much as she felt like our family she wasn't! Her big brother Jason on the other hand, he's her family. He was her family!" She said back, anger clear in her voice.
"Whatever!" I said and collapsed onto the couch. "Why did you let this happen to yourself Oliver? You're not the big brother i know!" She said and I looked at her. "You're right. I'm not. Now are you satisfied?" I said looking into her eyes. "No, just disappointed," She said and then sighed angrily. "What the hell happened to you? You're just some crazy guy that killed someone! You're not a person with feelings anymore, you're just this heartless guy that calls himself Oliver!" She screamed and walked out of my room; slamming the door on her way.
