People are made to believe in giving second chances but fail to realise that time plays a crucial role. Sometimes it takes longer for someone to realise what they've lost or appreciated what they had. Second chances come with deserving, time and sometimes karma itself.

"Wakey wakey sleeping beauty. That's enough sleep to last you a decade." Arina stirred at the shrill voice calling her since the past half an hour but didn't have the strength to open her eyes to survive yet another day. Her inner turmoil was cut short when the blanket was yanked away from her warm body and impulsively shot up straight in bed in a state of partial alertness and sleep altogether. Rubbing her eyes to focus on the intruder, her head was slow at registering her surroundings.

"What is your problem?" Annoyed, she yelled sleepily at Rayan.

"Wow, not in such a good mood are we? And probably not a sight I want to walk into again either." She eyed him angrily and hastily made her way out of the bed towards the restroom knowing very well he wasn't going to let her go back to sleep again. Slightly tripping on her foot, she pushed him onto the bed, annoyed at him.

"No good morning even? I forgot you're such a witch early in the morning." She shut the door with a loud bang after herself earning herself a chuckle from him.

After a few moments, she reappeared all freshen up, wasting no time in coming straight towards him and pointing a finger in his face, "No one freaking wakes me up like this on an off day when I have nothing else to do. I'll kill you next time if you ever do it again." Rayan stared at her serious face and the mischievous grin she was fighting not to surface and burst into laughter. Instinctively he towered over her and engulfed her in a warm hug. She didn't hesitate to hug him back and burying her face in his chest, feeling home after ages.

"I missed you so much." He confessed only to hear her sniffing in return, "I'm so sorry..." her voice cracked. He didn't need explanations from her, a simple 'sorry' was enough to cement the cracks that had formed between them because he knew how much she had to go through before even realising what she was doing to herself and everyone who genuinely cared about her.
