The two-year-old sneakily entered the dimly lit room and made his way towards the bed pushed to the other corner of the room, tripping several times over the stuff spread across the floor. Climbing silently over the dangling blanket, crawling towards the person under it and positioning himself on top, he started bouncing like a basketball.

"Mashi up, up, up" Arina could feel a lightweight bouncing up and down her belly before her tired head could register what was happening to her. She groaned from being woken up after just hitting the bed but it was a routine, and she couldn't complain. "Up, up," the little nugget wouldn't cease until she woke up, so she removed the blanket off her face and swiftly pushed herself up to embrace him in a tight hug, wrapping him inside the soft blanket. The startled look on his round apple face made her laugh. He beamed with excitement at her after realising he had woken her up, bouncing some more.

"Ari, wake up already. You're going to be late for the hospital," Mehra yelled from the open door before coming inside and pushing the curtains away to let the sunlight bask the room in its warmth. It hardly ever stopped raining in Manchester. Tripping over her hospital bag but balancing herself in time, "you've gotten way messier than Amaar is even. What is this? Why is your stuff all over the floor?" She started picking up her stuff off the floor.

"I came in late last night and I was tired. Sorry!" She lifted Mehmet of herself to get up and help Mehra clean up, "Stop, get in the shower. You're still in your scrubs and you'll be late if you don't hurry up." Pushing her towards the bathroom, she handed her the towel and a fresh pair of clothes.

After three years of Arina moving out to Manchester and starting her medical school, Amaar graduated and started a stable job. He and Mehra had their wedding reception right after all the paperwork were ready and he could welcome her into their lives with all the love they had for her. Arina was the happiest since in Mehra she found a physical friend that she lacked for all those years living alone with Amaar. A year into their life together, they were expecting and the arrival of Mehmet started making them feel more at home. The little bundle of joy kept them entertained on days when they felt homesick. The visits back home were still regular but work and responsibilities were starting to weight things down.
