Wariness takes over Jin seeing the blonde all by himself. Legs dangling from the rooftop, holding onto booze so dearly. He knows both the parties, the conflict they are sinking in. Jin is aware y/n will not be able to hold a grudge against anyone or as for the matter, against Jimin.

But, she will not approach the matter either. She will neglect it till she is hollow inside. Now, the elder can only wish he was with the brunette through this whole confusion.

Jin could not bring himself to blame Jimin for what happened too. If anyone was at fault, he is the least to be blamed. Jimin had his reasons, nonetheless that was no excuse to keep his sister-like friend in darkness.

Wind whistles, abusing the peace of the still trees. "Jimin, your mom wants to talk to you." He approaches the blonde with a tone softer than a feather. "Now what does she want? Quit my thoughts? Is it my life I am living or theirs?" Jimin scoffs, chugging down yet another bottle of alcohol.

"At least listen to what she wa–"

"Stop ordering me alright?! I have enough in handy." Jimin was aggravated by how things were turning out to be. Even though he does not mean the tone, it somehow is this way. "Jimin drinking won't solve a whit of your problems. Y/n hates it y'know that right?"

If nothing, it is y/n's name that has been keeping Jimin sane all this time. "Fair enough. She hates me too hyung." He bluntly mentions hopping down on his feet.

"She's gone..."

"She will be back today. What if she sees you like this?"

"Jin out of all, you don't have to predict stuffs for me. Y/n hates me! She won't see my face. She will happy be with that Taehyung." Jimin stops in his uneven track when he feels meager fingers wrap around his wrist. "You seriously think y/n will go after Taehyung?"

"Yeah, why else would they both disappear at the same time?" He swats the other's hand away. Although it is the booze speaking for him, a hint of regret is eagerly dripping through his words. "Y/n never loved anyone as she loved you, if that's what you want to hear."

"During those freshman years, many guys proposed to her. Who, in fact were ready to show her all the love she deserved. Never once did she consider looking at their faces. You know why? Because she loved you. Thoroughly. But I guess you did not. You did not even try. She is just hurt because you did not even bother to tell her about your situation first. Did you not trust her with the truth?"

Jin seethes. It is the first time in a long span he spat everything without any thoughts. Immediately, he regretted saying those, knowing the past connection of the blonde. But it's too late. He already said it.

"You can't say that! I trust her more than anything. I did not want y/n to break down at the news. All I ever wanted was a little uninterrupted time with her." Jimin says, offended by how the elder accused him of everything when his hands are tied down.

"Maybe that's the difference, y/n wanted a life time with you..."

"Bye honey, we'll miss you." Mrs Choi waves at the duo. Y/n was glad to have a break from...Jimin, basically. It was great. The country air. Space, was all she needed. Here's a two word of wisdom she learnt— Forgive Jimin.

Yes, she forgave him. From what she has observed is that they were not exclusive. She had no chance with him, neither did he. The blonde was already committed to Minseo, oh how that name evokes the taste of nausea.

Back to her "theory of wisdom", Jimin was never hers to begin with. He can do whatever, whenever. It is his choice, he betrothed the other girl.

With all thoughts pushed aside, she enters the dorm. Hell, this place is stingy compared to her hometown. "Damn you y/n, this place makes me sick now. I can't believe I'm going to say this— I miss your hometown." Taehyung complains as they advance towards their apartment.

"Oh yeah, weren't you the one who didn't want to go at fir–"

"Y/n!" The brunette is all too familiar with that voice. She hates how it vibrating the rusted strings of her heart. "Can we talk? Please, I promise I won't waste your time."

"You are wasting yours. Just go." She responds coldly. Jimin notices Taehyung moving closer to her, whispering something into her ears. Whatever it was, Jimin is grateful to him for it makes the brunette stay a little longer. He exchanges a smile with Taehyung, as a token of appreciation.

"Y/n, I don't know how to explain this-", Jimin starts but before he could form a single sentence, y/n bulks in.

"Don't."

"Y/n, please. Let's talk it out." At that, the brunette snorts. "Talk what out Jimin? I hope you remember, we were friends when whatever had to happen, happened. We don't have to do this. You don't have to explain things to me. You don't owe me anything of that sort. That ended. It's just us. Me, y/n. And you, Jimin. Two friends, that's it."

"I really don't have any idea what Minseo means to you. Though I respect that. You guys are together now. You two sealed the deal already. I'm not mad at you, I'm just stupid. Stupid, to have been thinking, we could be something." Y/n smiles. Pain dripping from every string of syllables.

"Don't say that", the blonde utters, finally entering the threshold when she backs into the room. "I'm just stating the truth. You are no longer just Jimin. You are Jimin, Minseo's fiance, okay?" She chuckles humourlessly. "We can continue to be fr—"

He leans in only for the brunette to swerve. Her hands falling on his chest. It felt right, just in tact but it is so wrong. "I love you, y/n and that's all I know. My life is fucked up. It is and I admit. I fuck up everytime we are on good terms but please, dream of our future."

"Fuck, I cannot place my dreams into right places if I don't have you in them. I just need time to fix everything up, so that we can leave all of this behind and build our own future. Together."

"Together? I'm sorry Jimin it's too late. I already applied for an internship in Japan and I'll be leaving the night graduation ceremony is done." Y/n says. Those eyes of hers reflects a whirlpool of emotions. The emotions she is stuck in. "You- you can't do that. I talked you to my cousin—"

"What do you want me to do give up on my dreams? Give up a job I finally managed to seek?"

"Yes!"

"Please stay y/n. We can work this out." It is what y/n did not anticipate to hear. Nor does she commend it. "I can't— Thank you for all you did. In case you ever need a friend, I'll always be here for you. Good night Jimin."

Last of the words being said, y/n closes the door. Of her heart, even. Perhaps this is for the best.

Exams are on the it's close. University overflew with students. New, transferred ones while the others, moving out.

It is the week before their graduation. Y/n understands her parents will not be able to make it to the ceremony. Anyways, it is okay since she will be leaving for Japan with her best friend, after the graduation ceremony finishes.

Y/n nor Jimin endeavoured each other into making small talks. Or persuade the other from chasing their dreams. Basically, it was the end of everything they had.

Good and bad.

Wow ok, this book is coming to an end y'all.
