You finished dressing glad to finally be out of that hospital gown.
You threw some items in the Go bag an agent brought you from the compound.
"Knock, knock," you turned to find Erica sitting in a wheelchair.
"Hey how are you feeling today?" You asked making room for her.
"Much better," she said. "Can't wait to be rid of this chair," she said playing with the wheels.
"What did Tony say?" You asked.
"He's putting some of us on desk duty for awhile and then we can get cleared back for field work," she said sadly.
"That's not so bad," you say trying to reassure her.
"I'm just glad I'm not dead," she said. "I have you to thank for that," she added.
You shook your head and waved it aside.
"Really (y/n), if it wasn't for you, I would be dead." Her eyes glistened. "We all would."
She opened her arms and you reached out to hug her. Just then Commander Hill walked in your room.
"Commander Hill," you and Erica say in unison.
"No need for the formalities today." She said. "I'm here to let you know that I'm personally heading up the investigation. We're going to do d out who did this to you," She said sternly.
"Most of you have been cleared to leave back to the compound. But I want to start the interviews now," she said.
She pulled out a chair as she began asking questions leading up to the incident.
Who was there?
Who wasn't there?
Who bought the drinks?
Who didn't drink?
When did you start showing signs?
How often do you go to that bar?It felt a lot endless as she continued.
"Who would want to hurt you?" She asked lastly.
The question hung in the air. You looked over at Erica.
"You technically got him kicked out of this division," she mumbled.
Commander Hill waited.
"Adam," you say. "Adam Hughes."
She nodded her head at us, getting up. "Thank you agents," she said. "I look forward to seeing you in the field soon."
************************************The sun set as you reached your room from the labs again.
"Ready to go I see," Max said motion to your bag.
