"Hey. "

"Hello Mermie. " Derek replied. He definitely had to have been staring at me while I was asleep.

"Don't tell me you've been watching me sleep?" I asked, I was honestly hoped not.

"I actually had very little sleep so, yes. I watched you sleep the whole time. " He smiled and for once, he didn't seem like that ruthless billionaire that everyone thought he was.

"I hope I didn't snore and leave you in total awe. " I said as I looked around. We'd made love on the couch and I was in bed--definitely had to be Derek's doing.

Love? It was just sex. I honestly didn't know why my brain was processing things crazily that morning. Was it because of him? I honestly couldn't pinpoint what I was feeling.

"Must've been so much work bringing me here. Why? " I asked him as he still laid near me on the bed. We were both naked underneath the sheets.

"I figured that your legs were going to be too puny to carry your whole body so it was best I carried you. And if you're wondering how I found my way to your bedroom, I scanned through the rooms and most of your things were here. " He said, bringing his hands to my jaw. I couldn't believe that I'd fucked that man twice. Two fucking times!

"I can walk. It's not that bad. " I protested, his hands still on my jaw. I was still feeling pains in between my legs, but I doubted that it was going to be that bad.

"I'd actually love to see you do that. " He smirked, placing a kiss on my palm. The aftermath of the kiss was a tremble from me, causing my toes to curl.

His presence had made the previous day incredible, even though Artem had kicked me out of the office and I was suspended till further notice. Being with him just made up for everything.

The agency was going to go from good to bad when he eventually fired me. I was honestly wondering why he hadn't done it already. Maybe he'd been waiting for Derek to find the building he'd been wanting so badly before he eventually fired me.

The only reason I ever accepted to work there was because of the percentage in the commission I received as an agent, other agencies in the city didn't pay their agents up to one-third of what the Artem Gutler agency paid it's real estate agents.

I'd been seriously considering the decision of going into private real estate, but that on it's own was very stressful, but the good thing about it was that it actually paid better that having to work for an agency. I'd put my time and everything into the agency and Artem was being a jerk about the whole 'Derek Payton has to work with us' situation. Someone needed to tell him that I wasn't the one who called the shots in the matter.

Artem hadn't been like that when I got into the agency. We both had a good employee-to-boss relationship when I was employed. Maybe it was actually because I'd gotten so much clients in just a few months into my arrival at the agency. And then when he found out that he was going to be working with a billionaire--which wasn't a hundred percent certain, he'd almost cut everyone's throat.
