"Ummm hey Annie. " Pete mumbled before moving away from me. She had definitely caught him unawares.
Anna-Leigh stood there staring, I could see shock written all over her face.
"What was going on here? or rather What is going on here?" She asked.
"I tried to get in my apartment and he--" That was it. He didn't even let me finish talking before interrupting.
"Hey i-it was nothing. We were just sorting out things. " He lied. "You know what, I'll see you later Annie. Have a good day Kalani. " He said before running down the stairs. He'd been very lucky to escape because heaven knew that I could literally strangle him for what he did.
"Do you wanna start explaining now or?" Annie asked me as she walked to the entrance of my locked apartment.
"I think we should go and grab a drink. " I said before placing my key in the key hole and opening the door.
"I think I'll just have canned soda and and that's all. " I said to the waiter.
"I'll have baked pretzels,I want them super crunchy please with a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar, spice and parmigiano cheese and I'll have a glass of milk shake. " Anna-Leigh said.
"Alright. " The waiter said before turning to leave. We were at an outdoor restaurant.
"You could have just ordered everything in there. " I giggled. We agreed that we were going to get soda but Annie literally ordered a whole meal.
"Fuck you. I'm hungry. " She rolled her eyes before throwing a spoon at me but I ended up body-swerving it.
"So I need to know everything, tell me what all that at your apartment was?" She asked a while later after they had brought our orders.
"I told you my mum was leaving today, I got back from the airport and saw him standing by the entrance. I'm very sure that if it wasn't locked then he would've gotten in. " I said, toying with the rim of my canned soda as I watched Anna-Leigh eat.
