My schedule had been extremely tight over the past few weeks. I'd travelled to Manhattan and returned back to England and then I was back to Manhattan again. I hadn't really been focused on the affairs of the company's headquarters over the last couple of weeks. My main focus had been on getting a new branch in Manhattan-well that was partially it. There was a certain New York blondie that had been driving me insane for weeks. I could have done a million things to her while she was at my mansion in England .

I'd rented one of the city's most expensive penthouses because of internet trolls and paparazzi. The last time that Aliya and I were in Manhattan, people had almost found out that I was in the city and I was  definitely not willing to risk it again.

I had finally fixed a date for the first official appointment. We were both going to check out some buildings.

My first appointment with her didn't go as planned, the level of our pride combined couldn't even fit in a fucking airplane.

I honestly didn't know why I found myself going back to work with the agency, Kalani in particular.

Nobody had ever been rude to me, never. If there was a certain occasion that it happened, then the person would have known that he was going to be at a terribly huge loss, but I honestly didn't know why I was going back to work with Kalani fucking Monroe. I tried to tell myself that it wasn't her that had been regularly on my mind, that it was my quest to get a building in Manhattan so bad but that was a big fucking lie.

I had it all planned out in my head. If Kalani was the serious type-which I knew she was when it came to her job. I would be able to find a building by the first quarter of the next year and we were going to get the whole thing renovated and by the second quarter of the year, the Dayton Manhattan branch should be ready to kick off.

"Hello Sir, has the date been fixed for your appointment with the Artem Gutler agency? " Aliya asked me over the phone.

"Hello Aliya, I've picked mid November. I would be less busy for the rest of the next month."

"Alright sir. "

Aliya was going to organize the whole thing and make sure that she had everything planned out. She was among the handful of people that I actually trusted in the company.

Being a billionaire had it's good side and bad side and jealousy was definitely a terrible aspect of it. I had my doubts about most of my staff due to the scandal and everything that was currently going on in the company and in such situations, it was  very hard to trust anyone.
