Taken Over

Since the incident of Vampires breaking into your apartment you and Guren decided it was best to stay at his place for the time being until things cooled down. You'd often get to his place before him since he'd always stay up late looking at plans to distribute to Kureto and the rest of the Corp for our next invasion. Other times he'd come with you to pick up Amito from daycare and take a walk outside for a while.

Today you guys decided to make a cake you promised to Amito since he won the battle of Rock Paper Scissors between him and Guren. So you had to wait for Guren to finish up the rest of his work. You cleaned up your desk and walked to Shinya's office to return some paper work you had to complete for him. Almost everyone was gone home by now except for a select few people.

Once you returned the papers you walked back down the dimly lit halls of the Corp. It was so quiet, before you used to be terrified of the too silent halls but now it's something you're used to. You walked past a flight of stairs and noticed someone walking down the stairs. "Are you taking your leave (Y/N)?"  You knew that voice anywhere. It was only Kureto. You turned around and looked at him. "Yeah I'm just stopping by Guren's office before I leave."

"See you tomorrow then (Y/N), be safe out there, there's a lot of activity from the bloodsuckers lately." He kept walking down the stairs until he stood in front of you. "Thank you I will. You be safe as well." You smiled at him and kept walking down the hall. You wondered where he was going, maybe to Shinya's office?

You turned a few corners and knocked on Guren's office door before opening it. "Hey you might wanna pack it up Sargent because we have a cake to make." You looked at Guren but he remained motionless at his desk with his hands folded. "Uh Guren?" You walked up to him and looked over at him.

As soon as you looked at him, your face went pale and numb. He looked up at you with a wide smile and red eyes. Mahiru. You started to back up slowly while staring at him with wide eyes. "What's wrong (y/n), cat caught your tongue?" He chuckled deeply. He stood up and started walking towards you.

"What are you doing Guren..." you kept backing away. You looked over at the door and leapt towards it, only to be pulled back and slammed on the ground. You felt the back of your head slam the hardwood floor and you started to see dark before you saw Guren look down at you and get close to you. You reflexively shoved your foot against Guren's chest, trying to keep him away from you.

"Let go of me!!" You pushed him with your foot. He chuckled again darkly and grabbed your ankle. "Where are you going in such a hurry (y/n)? Don't be so tense." After grabbing your ankle he took your foot off of his chest and started pulling you towards him with your leg. "What the hell Guren seriously let me go!!" You tried grabbing at the floor for something to hold onto.

As you struggled to pull away from his iron grasp, you heard the doorknob jiggle and it open slowly. You both turned around to see Yuu. "By the way Guren that training we did yesterday was harsh and Im still sore from that one exer-" He looked at you guys then slowly backed away and closed the door behind him.

While Guren was still looking at the door you took the opportunity to kick him in the face with full force and make a run for it. "OW FUCK!!" He yelled while holding the side of his face. You scrambled for the door and busted it open, seeing Yuu still leaving the door. You took his arm and yelled "RUN!!'' Before running down the hall with Yuu in toll behind you.

You heard the door slam open and something chip off. Probably the doorknob or the wall 0.0. You looked back to see where Guren was when you slammed into something hard and heard a deep grunt. You and Yuu both fell back into the floor. "Geez no running the halls, the hell." You looked up and saw Kureto dusting himself off.

"Kureto?? You're still here??" You rubbed your head. Nice another bruise. Your confusion soon turned to fear as you heard Guren yell in the distance. "(Y/N)!!" Yuu looked at you with wide eyes. "(y/n) what the hell is going on??" "Mahiru took over again." You looked at Kureto and Yuu. As soon as you said that you saw something fly past you and into the wall. It was a pen, and it was an inch away from your face.

You stood still until you turned around and saw Guren at the end of the hall. Immediately after, Kureto pulled out his cursed gear. You stumbled up and put your hand on yours. "Just go (y/n) , and take Yuu with you, you guys can't be here." Kureto said as Guren started to walk towards you guys while combing his hair back. You hesitated for a second until Guren said, " Awww you're going to let them miss out on the fun?" Then you immediately left with Yuu.

After leaving the building, Yuu went with his friends and you picked up Amito and took him to Guren's place. There wasn't much of anywhere else to take him. You couldn't just take him back to your place because of the vamps stalking you so you had no other choice but to stay there. You tucked Amito in for bed then layed in bed facing the wall.

You were almost falling asleep when you heard the door open carefully and steps going into the bathroom. You didn't dare turn around to look and see who it was. You held your breath for a second as you heard the bathroom door open and walk into the room. You kept your eyes closed as you felt the presence lay into bed with you. It was Guren. You could tell by his scent.

You let go of your breath in a small sigh. "Im sorry (y/n)." You heard him say. You turned to face him, seeing his eyes were now the usual royal purple. He looked a little beat up, probably from fighting with Kureto. "How is your face feeling." You tried not to smirk. He looked at you with a side eye. "You kicked me in my money maker what do YOU think?" He rolled his eyes. You giggled a bit then hugged him.

After that you guys fell asleep soon after.
