He looked at you. "Be. Careful." He let go of you and let go of the door. "Y-yeah." You opened the door and left. You walked out and walked back into your office. You sighed and rubbed your head before starting on some paper work.

                         ~lunch break~

You sat with Sayuri and the rest of the gang as you ate your lunch happily. Then Sayuri nudged you. "So how did it go with the big guns huh?" You put your bowl down. "Well he said there was no harm done and that Risa would be trained by another person instead of me, which is fine by me."

"Have you talked to Guren lately?" She asked. That question caught you by surprise since you haven't really bothered to after the whole situation this morning. "Uh no, I really don't have much to say to him right now." You looked back at her. "Well he's been working nonstop thinking of battle strategies in his office." She took a bite of food.

"Well I'll try to stop by later before I pick up Amito." Speaking of Amito, you forgot how dangerous it was leaving him in a daycare every day while you worked, considering there's a bunch of vampires looking for him. Gosh why didn't you're friend ever tell you what was going on in her love life, it would make things a lot more easier.

Soon after you got back to work and finished up most of your reports for the day. You even had time to squeeze in a lesson for one of your friends' classes. Which wasn't as easy as you thought it would. Kids are not very good at focusing their attention on the important details. But in the end they got the gist of it. Hopefully they actually learned something.

A good couple of hours rolled by in that time frame that you barely realized it was almost time for you to head out for the day. As you sat up and gathered your documents you remembered that you told Sayuri you'd stop by Guren's office on the way home. You sighed. "I guess I'll stop by." You put on your coat and headed for his office. He should still be there, unless he's there sucking Risa's face off again.

You rolled your eyes. I need to stop, she'd suck anyone's face off. After walking a few hallways down, you arrived at his door, seeing the lights still on. You were kinda hoping he wouldn't be in his office. You scratched the back of your head and took a deep breath before knocking on the door softly. A few seconds passed and you heard a firm "Come in." From the door.

You opened the door slowly and walked in, closing it behind you. You looked around the office seeing books and papers everywhere and Guren sitting with his feet propped up on the desk while moving around figures on a map. "You've been working hard.." you said softly. He looked at you for a second then back at the map. "I need to protect Amito from those monsters. They can't take him." He said in his groggy sleepy voice.

You felt your heart crush. He loves Amito so much. You walked over to his desk and sat on one of the corners, closing some of the books that were there. "Guren I think it's time for you to take a break." You looked at him. He kept staring at the map, then moved one of the figures. "Please?" You put your hand in front of the figures, blocking his view.

He sighed and sat back, running his fingers through his hair. "Where is he now?" He asked without looking at you. "He's in the daycare with the other kids." You replied while fiddling with a pen that was on the desk. "He's not safe there." Guren said while balling up a piece of paper and throwing it in a nearby trash can.

"Well I don't really have many options, and I doubt he'd want to be here bored all day." You looked at him. He sighed and rubbed his temples. You slid closer to him and smiled. "Hey Guren, I still have those booty shorts that you took from me that day when you were drunk off your ass." He looked up at you concerned.

               ~Throwback~

Back before the whole destruction of the world and vampires and monsters coming out of their little hideouts, you, Guren, and your friends came over to your house for a drink......which ended up in one too many. At least for Guren. You went to the bathroom and came back to the sound of loud laughing and someone singing off key.

You walked into the living room to find to you horror, Guren wearing a pair of your booty shorts while dancing on the coffee table and singing "Come Get Her". Long story short, your shorts ended up stretched out and your coffee table broken.

~End of Flashback~

You giggled at the memory of it while Guren cringed. "You still owe me a new coffee table, I haven't had one since." He finally sat back and raised his eyebrow. "Good luck with that now." You smiled at him and stood up. "Well I'll be leaving now, I'm going to go home. Don't stay up too late doing this stuff." You said while walking to the door. "I won't be making any promises." He folded up his papers.

Once you got to the daycare you looked around for Amito and saw him playing with puzzles with a little girl around his age. Omg she is just so cute!! You smiled when Amito looked up and saw you, then immediately running towards you and hugging you.

His love for you and your love for him is something you wouldn't change for the world. He was the purest little child ever. You picked him up and smiled. "You're getting big little man! Soon you're going to have to carry me!" He giggled and kissed your cheek. "Hi mommy!"

"Did you have fun today?" You started walking home while holding Amito in your arms. "Yeah me and a girl I met made a sandcastle!" He exclaimed happily. "That's great, did you eat all of your lunch?" You asked while fixing his hair. "Yes but while I was outside I saw a man standing on top of one of those big apartments! He looked like Spider-Man when he jumped off!"

Your eyes widened as the realization washed over your body. They found him. Oh fuck...
