Conversation is not my Strong Suit

     Dream had been in the prison for a few days now. He had been recording the time in one of the books he turned into a journal. No one had visited him yet, not even Sam. He stayed up one night to see if Sam was the one leaving his daily ration of potatoes, sometimes it was beets or carrots. He learned that it was, in fact, not Sam leaving the food but a dispenser that was pushed up from the floor. Dream questioned if that was a good or bad thing. Having is dispensed meant he wouldn't have anyone to talk to for even a brief moment, but that also meant he was spared from cruel comments. He sighed and supposed he had plenty of time to find out.

     The sudden 'whir' of redstone and machinery was hardly noticeable to Dream. If he didn't have as keen of hearing as he did he probably wouldn't notice. This put him on alert. Watching as the lava slowly drained, the tension was killing him. Who would visit. He hoped it was George and Sapnap, although he knew they weren't on talking terms. Perhaps Punz? He did ask for him to pretend to betray. Was it an act Punz put on? He hadn't asked Techno for the favor with this, so it couldn't be him. So many thoughts whirled in his mind, as not much was occupying much of it. Prison turns out to be boring. Who knew.

     He had already slipped his mask on when the lava finally revealed who had visited him. Dream groaned. He was only met with the smirking face of TommyInnit. He should have known Tommy would be the first on here so he could mock him for his failure. He dreaded this conversation. Watching intently, seeing as there was nothing else to watch, as Tommy stood on the platform, smug grin only getting bigger.

     "I can't believe it!" Tommy said in his usual loudness. Dream was more of a quiet observer while Tommy made sure everybody knew his business. "Isn't this your dream prison?"

     "Hello, Tommy," Dream had groaned so very much internally. God, what would he say? He was just here to mock him.

     "How have you been in here?"

     "I've been going crazy in here," Dream spoke in a monotone voice that could rival Techno's.

     "You sure don't sound like it," Tommy raised a brow skeptically. "Whachu got here?"

     "Oh, you know, some books and stuff. Although I'm not sure why you asked, you can clearly see there isn't much to, well, see," He rummaged through the books in the chest. Tommy scoffed and looked over Dream's shoulder.

     "That's a lot of books, you gonna be an author or something? Write an autobiography?" Tommy picked up a book and flipped through the empty pages with an amused expression.

    "Maybe," Dream shrugged and held his journal tightly in his hands. Tommy had no right to flip through these pages filled with how he spent his days.

     "God, it's so boring in here. Is there anything you like to do?" Tommy dropped the book back into the chest.

     "Oh! I like to watch the clock," Dream took a few steps to the clock. Tommy noticed his demeanor change with the mention of the clock. Dream slightly smiled and spoke, "Sometimes I time myself walking the perimeter of the walls."

     "Dudududu! Speedrunner Dream. Can't speedrun the Ender dragon so he will speedrun prison!" Tommy gave out a boisterous and, quite frankly, annoying laugh.

     "Ha ha," Dream mock-glared at him. "So how is everything, how are you?"

     "I'm good. You know everyone hates you. No one likes you. Everyone thinks you're a dick. Everyone goes 'Dream the dick'. They call you 'DD'. Dream dick,"Tommy paused and shook his head. In in effort to recover he said,"Op, no I mean Dream the dick. 'DTD'."

     "Well, I'm in prison, so there's no reason to hate me," Dream still wasn't sure why they hated him. He just wanted control over every aspect of his life. So things like being on your last life didn't happen. He wanted to be safe from harm and have leverage over everything that could harm him. But this was only one half of his goal, it seems he had achieved the second half. Everyone was united. Unity meant no war and everybody understood each other and were kind. Where did he go wrong?
