Luna and Tyler started talking about the Yule Ball this Friday. Luna is planning to ask Blaise and Tyler wants to ask Pansy. You think you might ask Neville to be your date since Ginny is going with Harry. He's a nice guy and Hermione told you he's a good dancer so might as well ask him. He's also really cute anyways.

You continue to eat as they both keep talking about the Yule Ball. Finally it's time for class you quickly get up and walk as fast as you could to Potions to escape them.

As you enter Snape tells you guys he assigned seats to everyone. Whoever we end up sitting next to is who will always be your partner for projects. He hands everyone a copy of the seating chart and you look for your name. You find it and it happens to be in the back corner so at least you'll be away from Snape. He doesn't really like your parents so obviously he doesn't like you.

You look at the person assigned next to you and it was Ginny. Thank Merlin you won't have to deal with someone you don't know. You're surprised that he assigned you guys together considering that he doesn't like you. You go sit down at your assigned seat and then Ginny finally shows up.

"Sorry I'm late professor!" she says breathing heavily. She looked like she just woke up from a nap.

"I'll give you a warning but next time you'll get detention" Snape says while facing the opposite way of everyone else. He finally turns around and the lesson starts.

"Today we'll be doing Skele-Gro. Does anyone know what that is?" you raise your hand and so does Hermione.

"Surprised to see you wanting to participate Y/n. Well then go ahead, what is a Skele-Gro?" Snape questions you. 

"It's a potion that regrows or fixes whatever bone you've broken" you say confidently. Snape was surprised and disappointed because he was looking forward to correcting you.

He continues to give instructions on how to make the potion and then lets you guys work with your partners. Ginny still looked pretty mad about yesterday but still helped you with the potion. You decide that you'll just ask her later maybe during DADA. Hopefully you don't get detention from her again because looking at the scab on your hand is absolute torture already. You ignore your thoughts and just decide to talk to her right now because you don't want to take any chances. 

"Ginny are you alright? You seemed a little mad yesterday at the party" she looks at you with an angry face but then calms down. 

"It's about the dare Hermione gave Harry. She knew that I fancy him but then dares him to kiss someone else" ouch! She just faces away from you and continues to work on the potion.

You felt as if your world has fallen apart but you decide not to show it. You'll probably go and talk to Cho or Ron about this later. Since they're the only ones who know about your feelings for Ginny. But right now you just have to act normal and not like you want to punch a wall or Draco for no reason.

Also thinking about her already going with Harry to the Yule Ball just made it worse. I guess your life never gets better then. After class you just speed walked straight to your house while hearing Ginny call after you. You just ignore her and head straight to your dorm once you enter your house. In there you saw both Cho and Luna talking to each other.

"Hello Y/n- Oh what's wrong?" Luna says as they both get up and hug you. You hug them back trying your best not to cry and thankfully you didn't. Once they let go you sit with them on Luna's bed as Luna holds your hand. 

"Ginny fancies Harry" Cho wrapped an arm around you as you say that trying her best to comfort you.

"Is that a problem?" Luna asks pretty confused as to why you're upset about that.

"Because I fancy Ginny!" you say out loud. 

Luna looked shocked but then hugs you again. She apologizes for sounding kind of mean when she didn't mean it in that way. You stroke her beautiful long hair while she hugged you slowly making you feel better. Cho just whispered to Luna asking her not to tell anyone about your feelings and she promised that she won't. 

Cho jumps up when she suddenly got an idea for something. You and Luna just stared at her while she jumped around the room. This idea must be pretty good if she's this excited about it. 

"Okay so I heard that this year we're having a talent show during the Yule Ball. So...you should definitely sing a song to her but acting like you're just singing to the crowd! Hopefully she gets the message about how you feel about her and no one else does" you jump up and hug Cho tightly.

"Cho that is the best idea ever! And I even have the perfect song for it!" you say excited. All three of you just jump around excited about this plan for a whole five minutes. Until it was time for the next class which is DADA.
