Kayla's POV

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?"

Adrian is dragged forcefully away from me and punched in the face by Mason.

"Mason stop. Please stop hitting him!" I cry

Adrian got up and charged for Mason and started throwing punches at each other.

"Guys please stop fighting!! Stop it, please."
They don't listen so I run to find someone to separate them. Lucky for me, I found Ash and Brad passing.

"Hey!! Guys please help me. Mason and Adrian are fight-" I didn't finish my sentence before they race to the place. I equally run.

Brad grabs Mason and Ash, Adrian.
Their faces are bloody, swollen eyes and broken lips.

The guilt just tripled.

Mason speaks, "what just happened?"

"Um you interrupted our date!! And punched me in the face. What your deal man!" Adrian exclaims.

"What do you mean 'date'?" Now he turns to me.

"Um we are on a date?" It comes out more of a question.

"Is this what you do, pretend that you have feelings for me, go on a date with me, share a kiss with me only for you to do the same with my best friend?"

My heart just cracked.

"I really didn't mean for this to happen. I do like you but-"

"But what?"

"Dude what are you talking about?" Adrian asks.

"What am I talking about? Well I like Kayla, a lot. We went on date. That's what I'm talking about."

"Well I also like her and I have even before you knew her so please back off." Adrian says not ready to give it up.

"What!?"

"You heard me. But If you choose not to back off, just know I won't go down with out a fight."

"Well guess what neither do I." He face me.
"Well kayla, I guess it's your lucky day. You get to choose who you like more."

"I-I-"

"Yeah kayla, pick."

"I don't want to do this, at least not this way." I say, my lips quivering trying to hold my tears.

"Well you shouldn't have agreed to go on a date with me if you would go with Adrian." He counters.

"I didn't think I was doing anything wrong, we're are not even official." As those words come out of my mouth I slap my hands over it.

Masons expression changed. "I guess you're right, we aren't even going out. It was just one date but I swear, I thought we had something." With that he shrugs Brad's hands off him and walk away not before bumping me with his shoulder.

"Mason please wait I didn't-" my sentence fades into the air. Brad and Ash had similar expressions towards me,

Disgust.

They simply shake their head and walk away.

The tears finally roll down my cheeks.
Why do I have to be so stupid?
What have I done?

"Kayla?" Adrian's hand touches me and I jerk away.

"Kayla. I know this is not a good time, but I love you and I'll stay with you. Don't worry about Mason. He's not worth your tears."
