A few weeks had passed and you were settling in well. You and the team had gotten closer, with Tony keeping a close eye on you. Steve had taken you under his wing and helped you with training. Sam and you had gotten especially close since the two of you would go out and fly for hours at a time. You've been spending almost every night after everyone's asleep practicing flying. And you were getting pretty good at it, too. Wanda and Nat were thrilled to have another girl on the team and they're always a great company for movie nights and girl talk.

As for Bucky, he had begun to open up to you quite a bit. The two of you made a routine of going for walks together every night before seeing each other off to bed. Sometimes you would have long conversations and other times neither of you spoke at all. After getting close to him, you found that he's actually really sweet. His eyes began to show emotion and his poker face broke more than not.

It was day 24 on Earth-616. You've been keeping a journal of everything that's happened, just in case something happens, you want to be able to remember everything. You woke up at 6 am as usual and were down in the training room with Steve by 6:30. The two of you started with your usual warm-ups and began practicing some hand to hand combat. "You're doing great, y/n. You've made quite some improvements since we started," Steve smiled at you as you threw a punch. "Thanks, Steve," you huffed, becoming out of breath. "Why don't we take a quick water break?" He asked, stepping off the sparring mats. God, he's so sweet. You thought to yourself.

A few hours later and you were up in the kitchen having lunch with Steve, Tony, and Nat. Suddenly, you heard a loud noise from outside the compound. Everyone rushed to see what it was. Outside, the grass was singed and a tall blonde man stood in the center of the sigil on the ground. Oh my god, it's Thor!  You thought. "I have come to earth to search for my father, I stopped here to say hello," his voice boomed. His eyes swept the Avengers standing in front of him and settled on you.

"Ah, who may this be?" He asked, walking towards you. "Y/n y/l/n. Nice to meet you," you told him. "It is an honor, I am Thor Odinson," he responded. "Thor, buddy, welcome back," Tony said, patting Thor on the shoulder. "Yes, it is good to be back. Unfortunately, I cannot stay long," Thor answered. Everyone wandered their way in with Thor and he grabbed a box of poptarts. "For the road," he said, motioning to the poptarts he was now eating.

You kept noticing him look at you throughout the conversations he was having with his old friends. You thought about how odd it was, but dismissed any further thoughts on it. When the conversation broke, you spoke up quickly. "It was great meeting you, Thor," you said, "I'm heading downstairs to get some training in." "It is about time for me to leave as well. Allow me to walk you to the stairs," he said, holding up his hand as a few of the others got up to follow. They sat back down and you and Thor made your way towards the way everyone had come in.

Suddenly, Thor stopped walking. He turned to you and stared into your eyes for a moment. "You  aren't of this world, are you?" He said. Your stomach dropped. "I-," you started. He cut you off, "don't worry, I can tell the others do not know. I shall keep your secret safe. I must wonder, however, where are you from? You arent from any of the nine realms.." "I'm from a different dimension. Earth-22985 to be exact. I died there and somehow got to come here," you told him. "That is quite interesting. I will have to look further into it once I return," he said, walking out the door.

"Farewell, y/n," Thor said as he swung his hammer. He was launched into the air and flew away. You wandered back inside slowly and down the stairs to the training room.

You found a punching bag hanging from the ceiling and began hitting it. Stress and panic drove you, all the thoughts burning through your head. Countless what-ifs and unanswered questions. Am I actually dead? Is this all a dream? Thor knew I wasn't from here, what if the others find out? How do I know so much about my wings? After about a minute, your knuckles started hurting but you ignored it. Soon, they were burning from being torn open and blood stained the bag. Eventually, you tired yourself out and laid down on a bench.

You woke to someone shaking you. Ugh, when did I fall asleep?  Bucky was standing over you. "Are you okay, y/n? You missed dinner," he asked. Your stomach growled. You felt your face go red. "Yeah, I'm fine," you responded. He grabbed one of your hands that was covered in now dry blood. "Then what's this?" You didn't respond. Bucky walked away and returned a moment later with a wet cloth. Without uttering a word, he grabbed your hand and cleaned up the dried blood.

"I would have thought you would've known better than to do that barehanded," he said after sitting down next to you. "I didn't think it through," you responded. "Listen, y/n, I'm good at reading people. I can tell something's up. Did Thor say something to upset you?" You flinched. He really is good at reading people, it would seem. "No, um, I just have a lot on my mind," you answered. He didn't respond after that. He stood up and headed toward the door. "You coming?" He asked. You realized he meant to go on the routine walk. You stood up and followed him out the door and out into the grass.

This was one of the silent nights, neither of you said a word to each other. After about an hour the two of you headed back into the compound and to your room. "Goodnight, y/n. And wrap your hands next time, please," he said after you got to your room. He didn't wait for a response and went to his room next to Cap's. You closed your door behind you and laid down on your bed.

But sleep wouldn't come. You spend some time reading, and soon it was in the early morning hours. You would be getting up for training in less than three hours. So you put your book down and tried to sleep. Before you knew it, you were fast asleep.
