cherry blossom tree

you tried your best to avoid kageyama. you read the texts over and over trying to see if it was all a dream. it wasn't. you went straight to the cherry blossom tree straying to calm yourself down. as much as you wanted you strawberry drink, you didn't bother going because you knew kageyama would be there. sitting under the tree, you felt the wind blow against your skin and a few petals fell in your lap. you started to cry.

looking up at the tree you remembered kageyama asking yachi to be his girlfriend. you remembered the way he laughed at you when you said you got rejected twice. you looked back towards the school. you saw hinata, nishinoya, tanaka, kageyama, and yachi. kageyama had his arm around yachi's shoulders as she gripped his jacket. looking back at your phone, you saw the time. "the bell rings in 10 minutes." you got up running to your class. you made it with 5 minutes left before the bell.

when you sat down, you checked the messages you and kageyama had had. a sad smile appeared on your face "hey why the sad smile?" you heard a female voice next to you. yachi. as much as you wanted to hate her, you couldn't. when you got kicked from the team your grades dropped and she helped you get them back up. "i'm just a little tired i guess" you lied. "oh i was wondering if you wanted to eat lunch with me, kageyama, and hinata later." you really didn't want to but you couldn't bring yourself to say no. nodding in agreement, she smiled and sat back down in her seat.
