lunch. you usually looked forward to this, but today was different. today you were eating with hinata, kageyama, and yachi. the bell rang and you met up with the other three by the vending machine. "y/n over here!" you heard hinata. once again, you gave him a fake smile and walked over to them. you bought your drink and the four of you headed over to the cherry blossom tree. your eyes were glossy as you stared into the distance.

"y/n? are you listening?" "huh? oh yeah sorry." "where's your lunch?" you looked up at yachi seeing kageyama's arm around her again. "i-i don't have one" you looked back at the ground. a small napkin with a pork bun was placed in your lap. "that's okay, have some of mine." yachi made it impossible not to like her. you have her a thank you and bit into the bun. a small yet genuine smile appeared on your face but disappeared when hinata opened his mouth. "so y/n, do you wanna come watch us practice today? yachi will be there." just say no i can't. "yeah sure." damn it.

the three other conversed and you looked at your phone reading the messages from last night over again. kageyama glanced over at your phone seeing what you were looking at. guilt rushed over him when he saw your glossy eyes. feeling a stare on you, you looked up your eyes meeting kageyama's. "are you crying?" shit. stop crying you dumbass. "sorry" you said looking down and wiping your tears. "are you okay? did something happen?" of course hinata was curious. "something happened last night with a friend and its just been bugging me." "what happened?" yachi asked just as curious as hinata. "he said some things." you sighed remembering everything, "and i don't know if i can forgive him." you stood up.

"i have to go. thank you for the pork bun yachi." without looking at anyone you left to the gym. setting up three water bottles, you picked up a ball and sent it over the net knocking down the bottle failing the notice the three people who followed you in and the new people just coming in. knocking the last two down, you ran over setting them back up. turning around you saw kageyama, yachi, hinata, and the female volleyball team. kiko. sakura. aiko.

your eyes met theirs and you wanted to cry. putting the volleyball back, you grabbed your stuff about to run out. "WAIT DONT GO" someone yelled out. stopping in your tracks, you turned around confused. "i'm yui michiyia, the captain of the girls volleyball team. i was wondering if you would like to join our team?"
