Addison arrived at my place a little after dark looking distressed. She entered and plopped down on the bed. I sleep on the roof so I don't really need a bed but got one once Addison started sleeping over.

"What's wrong? Adds?" I asked as I walked down the wall to sit down next to her.

"The cheer initiation. Bucky took us into Zombieland and wanted us to egg and T-P a Zombie house. A Zombie lady showed up and they left me and Bree there. We hid behind some trash cans but Zed saw us. I think I've messed things up with him. What if he thinks I don't like Zombies now?" She looked close to crying. "Are zombies always this harassed? I had no idea life was like that for them." I gave her a sad smile.

"Sadly yes. The chain wall, the Z-Alarm, the Zombie safe rooms. Humans are afraid of every little thing that involves Zombies, no offense. The school is segregated because the humans fear what they can't control. They think the Zombies are below them so they mistreat them. It's one of the reasons I don't like very many humans." I said and Addison seemed to realise something.

"That's why you don't tell people about you being a Vampire." I nodded.

"Addison, I told you I'm the last of my people." I spoke and she nodded. "That's because my people have been hunted, forced into extinction by humans. If I were to reveal myself I would be just another monster to them. Like the Zombies. Humans look at someone that's a little different than themselves and instantly fear it. They seek to control those of us who aren't like them. And when they fight back," I motioned to my fangs. "They are killed. Soon enough, they go extinct." I explained and Addison nodded, no longer close to tears. Instead she looked angry.

"That's terrible. I'm so sorry, Lara." She apologised and I shrugged.

"It's not your fault, Adds. Your one of the few humans that accepts us. That accepts me." I smiled and she returned the gesture. "It's getting late, you should get back before your parents start to worry." She got a mischievous look on her face.

"Or.." Addison pulled out her phone and started typing something. A moment later she got a response and she turned to me with a smile. "My parents said I could stay the night!"

"That's great! Wanna go swimming?" I asked and she nodded enthusiastically.

"Let's go." I pulled out two swimsuits and we changed. Addison took her wig off revealing her white hair and put the wig on the bed.
