"Y/n! Get up it's school today!" my mom called from the kitchen. I groaned as I got up. I absolutely dreaded going to school. I had barely got any sleep last night too so I just knew today was going to be rough. The one thing I was looking forward to though was seeing Daniel. I slowly rolled out of bed and threw my clothes on. I heard a knock at the door and immediately knew that it was Daniel. Smiling to myself, I opened the door. "Good morning y/n!" Daniel said "Good morning Daniel!" We headed to school together on our bikes when we were stopped by Johnny and his crew. "Well if it isn't y/n and Daniel. Y/n it looks like this time you won't be able to save your boyfriend." "He isn't my boyfriend and what do you mean?" Suddenly a pair of hands swung around my waist holding me in place so that I couldn't move. It was Bobby. Johnny began to beat Daniel up as much as he could which left him with a black eye. "Let me go Bobby!" I screeched. I was suddenly released and Daniel was on the ground. I could tell he was in pain. Johnny and his gang left leaving me and Daniel alone on the sidewalk. "Daniel i-i'm so sorry" I stuttered. "It's okay y/n. We have to get to school come on." As much as Daniel tried to hide the fact that he was okay, I knew that he wasn't.

We had arrived to school on time. I had walked Daniel to the soccer field for gym. I started to leave to go to class when I noticed Ali jogging towards Daniel. I watched from afar so no one would notice me staring. "Hi Daniel!" Ali giggled. "Hey Ali!" She cringed at the sight of his eye. "Your eye doesn't look too good" Ali said slightly leaning in touching his eye. This angered me but I didn't let it upset me. "Trust me, it looks worst than it feels" Daniel said with a reassuring smile. "All cheerleaders over here!" called the cheer captain. "Oh I uh have to go, but i'll see you around!" "Okay, bye Ali!" "Bye Daniel!"

I watched as Ali and Daniel parted ways. I started heading towards my third period when I heard a voice behind me. "Hey y/n!" Daniel called "Hey!" "You wanna sit beside me at lunch?" "I was hoping you'd ask" I said grinning. Me and Daniel walked together to the lunchroom after class. We were laughing and goofing off while we getting our food when Ali came running over. She touched the left side of his shoulder and went on the right side of him. "Hey Daniel! You sitting with anyone?" "Oh yeah I was actually going to sit by y/n today." "Do you guys mind if I join?" I rolled my eyes. She doesn't go away, does she? "Uh yeah sure if it's alright with y/n." I didn't want to be rude so I agreed. Once we sat down Ali couldn't take her hands off of Daniel. My blood was boiling. "Hey guys i'm gonna go to the bathroom." I walked away fast before anyone could say me anything. I stood in the mirror trying to calm myself down as Ali walked in. "Someone's jealous" she looked at me. "What are you talking about?" I asked. "I know you like him y/n it's not hard to tell. The thing is though, he likes me. He asked me out to Golf N' Stuff tonight actually." "Good for you Ali. I hope everything goes well for you." I stormed out of the bathroom walking home. I couldn't take much more of her and needed to be alone. I ran out the cafeteria door that led out to the streets. I could hear Daniel yelling after me but I just ran until I reached an empty street. It was nice being by myself. I needed a break from life, from everything.
