Christmas was slowly approaching and I hadn't thought of a single thing to get Daniel. I wanted my gift to special and home made. I've always loved making gifts, especially since they have more value to a person.

I sat cluelessly in the massage chair in the mall. I looked around at all of the shop windows, thinking of an idea. Suddenly, I spotted a red hoodie. Next door was a sewing shop. The idea clicked. I could sew mine and Daniel's initials onto the end of the sleeve of the hoodie. It's a small and simple idea.

I quickly stood up, making my way to the shop with the hoodie. I looked around and spotted the exact same hoodie that was in the window. It was perfect. I made my way to the cash register. "Is this all?" the cashier asked. "Yeah," I said. He quickly rang up the hoodie. "That'll be 17.56." I opened my wallet. I found a ten dollar bill and some change. "Shit," I muttered. "I don't have enough cash, I'm so sorry. You can just keep the hoodie. This is so embarrassing," I nervously laughed. He smiled. "It's okay. It's on the house." He handed me the hoodie. "You don't have to do that. I can always come back." He stared at me. "Seriously, take it. You seemed really excited to buy it." I smiled and took the hoodie. "Yeah, it's for my boyfriend. I was going to sew our initials into the bottom sleeve for his Christmas gift. Thank you." "I think he'll love it," he said.

I walked over to the sewing shop. They had lots of colors of thread, fabrics, and machines. I walked over to the thread. I was looking for white thread. It was a basic color, but it was subtle and simple enough to were it would stand out. I had finally found the white thread and some needles. I went to checkout. As I was standing in line, I spotted Ali. "Hey Ali!" I said. "Y/n, Hi!" she said hugging me. "What are you doing here?" she asked. "I'm getting things to make Daniel's Christmas gift. I plan on sewing our initials into the sleeves of a hoodie I got him. I just came here to get some supplies. What about you?" I explained. "Y/n, oh my goodness. He is going to love that. He's really lucky to have you, you know. I just came here to get some supplies for my mom. She's into sewing, so I though for Christmas I'd get her some things." "I hope he does and thank you. I'll see you at school tomorrow, okay?" I said. "Yeah, okay."

Once I had got home, I sat everything in front of me on the table. I had to get started on the hoodie now or else I would completely forget. I unraveled the thread, cutting it to an appropriate size. My mom had taught me how to sew when I was younger for this specific reason She told me that some day it would be handy. I guess she was right. I thread the string through the needle and tied a knot. I began to start on my initials. In the middle of our initials, I put a heart. It had came out adorable and I was sure that Daniel would love it. I had just finished sewing the hoodie when I heard a knock. I looked through the peep hole to see Daniel. I threw the hoodie in the top of my closet. I didn't want him finding it anywhere. "Hey babe, I missed you" Daniel said kissing me. "Hi, I missed you too even though we just saw each other" I said. He chuckled. "I can't miss my girlfriend?" he asked. "I never said that. I'm just saying." I adjusted the ring on my finger, catching Daniel's eye. "I love it. A lot," I said. "I'm really happy you do," he said.

Me and Daniel laid in the dewy football field of the school. It was almost midnight and neither of us were tired. We had came to watch the stars, but ended up acting stupid instead. "Can I teach you karate?" Daniel asked. "I already know it, look." I got up and did a random kick. Daniel's eyes went wide. I let out my laugh. "What's so funny? That was absolutely horrible," he said. "It was a joke. I just couldn't help myself. Your face was priceless," I said. He rolled his eyes. "You're so annoying sometimes, y/n." My mouth dropped open. "So we're using real names now, Daniel?" I said putting my hand on my hip. "You're gonna pay for that!" he said running after me. "Not if you can't catch me!" I said. Daniel's hands were gripped around my waist. "I caught you." He pressed his lips onto mine. "I hate to break it to you, but you'll never be faster than me" he said. "Fine, you win this one. Now, can we leave? I'm getting cold," I said. He pulled me into a hug. "Okay fine." Daniel draped his jacket around me. "I don't want you to freeze to death. I'd hate to see my girlfriend turn into a popsicle out here." I laughed. "Thank you." He gripped my hand. "I'd hate to see you lose me because I turn into a popsicle. Or better yet an ice cube."
