At the studio...

Once Faye arrived, she started to look through the hallway of glass doors looking for Tyler in one of the rooms. She made eye contact with most of the people that occupied the room but she just returned a awkward smile and kept walking cluelessly down the continuous hallway. Once Tyler had caught her eye, she saw him, leaned back in his chair, bopping his head to something that he might have been playing. She knocked on the door catching his attention.

"took you long enough," he said as he was holding the door open for her. His slim figure towering over Faye making her feel a little intimidated.

"good afternoon to you too, and besides you know how traffic be at this time of day," Faye said as she sat down on the plush purple couch placed in the corner of the studio, Tyler soon taking a seat next to her.

"okay, so, I have few thing I want you to do," he then took his phone from out of his back pocket and searched through his notes.

"you want me to sing," Faye asked.

"that's why you're here right, I know you didn't think that I brought you to the studio just to hang out,' Tyler strained a laugh

"well damn, I expected something but not this," Faye said sounding fake offended.

"anyways, I wanted you to do some background vocals for an album I'm working on," Tyler then hanged her his phone.

Faye looked through the words on his phone, she made out that these could be some lyrics but she didn't know which part was hers. She looked up at him confused, slightly annoyed that he had no intention of explaining anything of what he had typed on his phone to her.

"what do you want me to do with this," she said pushing him further so that he can get the hint that she didn't know what to do.

"oh um I want you to sing this verse, " he then sung the first part of the song that he wanted her to be apart of.

"mhm, okay, can I hear the beat?"

"oh yeah," he then started shuffling his way back to the chair where is laptop sat and played the beginning beat, as he did so, she closed her eyes and started singing to herself, imagining how she wanted it to sound.

"okay I'm ready," she said as she walked into the booth and put on the head phones that were on top of the mic.

"boredom, boredom, bestfriend"

After a couple of runs, or until Tyler was satisfied, they went over it and they both thought it was perfect. Although it was a small part, Faye was proud to even be working with him at the moment. Though she'd probably never admit to him, but she really liked being around him, his ambition and talent, really drew her to him.

"you can stay if you want, unless you have anything else to do," Tyler said getting up and going into the booth, ready to do him part of the song.

"i'll stay, I wanna watch you work," Faye said completely forgetting that she left Willow at home by herself.

She's grown, she probably don't need me right now. Faye thought.

She sat back on the couch, put her phone on 'Do Not Disturb' and watched as Tyler rapped. She loved it, watching his lips move, the way his hands moved when he got really into it. Hearing him curse whenever he messed up, and watch his attitude totally change whenever he got annoyed with himself. The faces he made when he was annoyed she liked them, a lot. Seeing him overall focused and out of his element made butterflies erupt in her stomach.

It was basically midnight once Faye got home, Tyler was serious when it came to getting things perfect, and she knew that now.

She pulled up to her apartment complex trying to be as quiet as possible as Willow was probably asleep by this time. She tried her best to be quiet as she entered the house but her multiple keys and key chains weren't doing justice. She heard footsteps coming down their stairs that held both of their rooms. Willow turned on the light squinting a little as she was sensitive to the light as the moment.

"Faye, why you coming home all late," Willow said with her arms crossed.

"girl, I'm so sorry, Tyler kept me at the studio really late, he wanted me to record a part of this song for him," Faye said feeling completely guilty.

"i was texting you all day Faye," Willow said using her 'mother' voice on her.

"oh shi-" Faye got her phone and turned off 'Do Not Disturb' and her messages started flooding in.

"you acting like my mother right now, I'm grown as hell, twenty -one" Faye said dragging out her age. She then cut off the light and went up the stairs going into her room.

Willow rolled her eyes at Faye's present attitude and went back upstairs into her room.

"got me up early in the ass crack of dawn for this, God you really testin' me," Willow muttered as she got back under the comfort of her warm bed sheets.
