Faye woke up to the sun beaming through the car window. She grimaced as her eyes were sensitive to the light on the early morning.

"good morning," Tyler said smiling at her through the rear view mirror.

"good morning," she said back returning the smile.

Everyone else in the car was knocked out expect for Faye and Tyler. It was silent. all the two could hear were the turning of the wheels of the car and other vehicles passing by as they drove through the city.

"i made reservations for a hotel we aren't far from as of now, everyone can choose they own rooms," Tyler said attempting to spark a conversation.

As he said that the other started to stir out of their sleep. Faye mentally thanked the universe because there was no way that she would be able to keep up a conversation with anyone this early in the morning.

For the rest of the drive she was on her phone, responding to texts, scrolling through her socials, and replying to emails. Everyone has their own conversation going in the car, ' Garden Kisses' by Giveon was quietly playing in the background and it was overall a vibe.

For the first time in forever I didn't wake up with a attitude. Faye thought.

The car came to a screeching stop in front of some luxury hotel. Most of the exterior was made of class and you could see the chandelier complimenting the bottom floor from the outside. Faye inaudibly gasped at the sight. There was no way that she would be able to pay for this.

Her jaw hit the floor as the group walked in. She could see her reflection in the marble floors. The people that walked around the building looked expensive. The group themselves looked out of place.

"y'all can get y'all shit out my trunk I'll check in," Tyler said pull out his wallet.

"um are you sure, I can pay for my room," Faye bargained.

"nah it's fine, it's me and Travis' treat for draggin' y'all here. Didn't look like your home girl wanted to join." Tyler chucked at the thought of Faye wanting to pay for her room. He knew that the girl was all Ms. Independent as he would describe her to his friends, but he didn't know it was this crucial.

"yeah, I kinda had to convince her to come, she knows how important this whole week was to me, especially with you being behind all of it," Faye looked up at him cheesing.

Tyler pulled her in by her waist luring her next to him. His taller frame towering over her, he then kissed her forehead and winked at her flashing his gapped smile shortly after. Looking all flustered Faye stared down at her feet feeling a tingling sensation in her stomach. She couldn't put into words how bad she wanted to be with Tyler. She was just a blushing mess, although she is black, her cheeks were definitely heating up. Her feelings about this mini trip definitely intensified.
