"happy birthday Travis," Faye said as she greeted the man bearing gifts.

It was now Travis' birthday that Tyler had set up himself. A venue of some of his favorite performers, Faye is one of them. She never expected the venue to be this big, she had never performed in front of these many people before. To say the least, being nervous was an understatement for her.

Faye, Willow, Tyler, Travis, and their friends walked around the place for a while there were more than just onstage performances but there were carnival games and food trucks. Faye was astonished, she never knew Tyler would pull off something like this, especially if he isn't getting paid for any of it.

"this is incredible Tyler, you're such a great friend to Travis," Faye expressed.

"yeah, yeah don't mention it. That's my nigga after all." Faye said nudging Travis who walked close next to them.

The group was heading back to the stage as it was now Faye's turn to perform. She felt her legs turn into jelly as her name was announced. The crowd was loud, but her thoughts were louder. 'I can't do this, 'what if I make a fool of myself' she thought. She shook her head and took on the steps to enter the stage. The mic and stand were ready for her and the music from her new ep started to play.

The crowd started swaying as she was and the flashlights on the crowd's phone were shining onto the stage. It was now night so it blended in with the night sky. Made her heart warm knowing that people knew the words to her song, they knew who she was.

As the night went on her nervousness faded away, she was dancing and no doubt feeling herself on stage. The crowd sang along with her and she felt as if she can conquer the world. She would never imagine that when she first started music, almost forty-thousand people would listen to and enjoy the sound of her voice.

She said her thank you's to the crowd and left the stage greeted by her friends.

"that was fucking fire Faye, you got down up there," Tyler said hugging her tight.

"thank you, Ty, I was so nervous at first but that crowd just gave me so much energy. I used to try and avoid performing but now I wish I could do it every day," she said chuckling slightly out of breath from her running adrenaline.

Although it was getting late for the group, but the night had only just started. As Willow and Faye started walking to their cars to end their eventful night, Tyler and Travis walked up to them tapping on the car window, signaling for them to roll it down.

"are ya'll coming with us to Vegas or what?" Tyler said as he put his forearms on the window.

"um, Vegas, the hell ya'll going to Vegas for?" Willow complained trying to roll the window up on Tyler. Faye chuckling at the interaction.

"for my Birthday weekend, I know ya'll wasn't thinkin' that we was just celebrating for a few hours." Travis said intervening.

"Vegas sounds cool, don't you think Willow," Faye said knowing damn well the only reason she'd ever want to take a seven hour drive to Vegas was because of Tyler.

"yeah aight," Willow responded rolling her eyes.

"alright, so ya'll go home and pack your bags and we'll pick you guys up, and we on the road." Tyler cheered.

"we lit bitches!" Travis was undoubtedly wasted.

'I hope his wasted ass ain't the one driving," Willow thought.

"Faye you know damn well you wouldn't have accepted that invitation to Vegas if Tyler wasn't there," Willow mentioned putting her hand on her hip and peering at Faye packing a suitcase.

"not true, I just want to reinvent myself. You know get out more, I don't want to be so isolated as I used to." Faye lied.

"mhm." Willow murmured while she continued packing her toiletries.

It was about three in the morning by now, the pair sat in the back seat next to a passed out Travis. Syd and Tyler both sat in the passenger and drivers seat. Earl, Jasper, and Lionel took a separate car as there wasn't enough in Tyler's.

The tall city buildings and lights beamed against the windows of the car as the four that were awake conversated about whatever was going on within their lives. Faye's eyes become heavy, she had never focused on staying up this late, but she wanted to be awake for when they arrived.

'there is still a couple of hours before we arrive, I can sneak a nap in,' Faye thought.

The more she stared outside the window her eyes became more sensitive to the flashing billboards and lights that surrounded the cities. Her eye lids became heavier and heavier, she felt as if being awake was a burden. She soon gave into her fatigue recognizing that her night had already been long enough. The best feeling was letting her eyes close on their own. She gently laid her head on Willow's shoulder and dozed off.

"Faye, are you drooling?" Willow grimaced.
