In Faye and Willow's shared apartment, Faye sits in her room, blinds open to let in the rising sun, playing with a few cords on her electric keyboard looking for some new sounds and melodies for the fourth song on her ep, 'Again'. She knew that this song was going to be the one to set off her career for sure. She spent years making eps and albums just for them to flop but this song made her have a great feeling about the future of the music career. She sat for a minute twisting in her chair and writing down lyrics on a piece of paper sitting next to her keyboard. She went back and forth for a while as spinning in that chair made her think better, so she thought.

Today was a chill day for her, not like other days where she is running back and forth doing errands, in and out of the studio doing background vocals for other popular artists, still never giving her the recognition she deserves. Where Willow is dragging her to parties, they never usually go well, getting shot up or people being way too drunk for Faye to even be comfortable in the same room as them. Today, Faye enjoyed her morning, being productive as she was in a state a few days before where she couldn't care for herself without being drained beforehand. Right now she was doing what she loved.

Willow was at her office job in Bixby Knolls so this left Faye the apartment all to herself. She could do anything she wanted. Anything.

It's now mid-day, Faye grew frustrated that her project didn't go the way that she wanted to, so she took a few hours' rest and decided to pick it up again tomorrow. She sat in her room bored, laying on her back in her bed, scrolling through her socials, liking Instagram photos, and sighing to herself once in a while. After a while of scrolling she got a text from Tyler.

Faye would be lying if she said she hadn't caught the tiniest of feelings for Tyler. It would be cliché of her to say that what he did was heroic the other day, but she'd have no other words to describe it. The way he clenched his jaw after the fact could make her knees go weak just at the thought of it. The way he put his arm around her in a protective and territorial way made her heart flutter. But maybe she's just touch-deprived. This isn't the right time for her to be slipping up and thinking about love and crushes. She's in her bag now.

She didn't mind talking a little drive around town with Tyler. They were just friends anyway. Summer was her time to pop out and getting into a relationship would surely ruin her glow season.

Faye only had a bit of time to get ready, she wanted to dress to impress although it was just 'a ride around town' she still wanted to catch eyes, his specifically. She put her hair in a cute and quick hairstyle, put on a simple and short green patterned dress, a small slit occupying the side of it, and paired it with some brown sandal heels. She did simple makeup, brown lipliner and lipgloss and some glued on lashes.

As she was about to sit back onto the couch to wait out the rest of the time she had left until Tyler came, she heard a knock on her door but it sounded like a beat.

Must be Tyler, she thought.

She got up from the couch sighing as she didn't get much rest the night before and the tiredness was catching up to her at this time of day. She opened her door and there was Tyler leaning on her door frame with a smug look on his face. She cringed at the sight. Tyler looked her up and down giving her a confused look as he was just in a sweater vest and some jeans.

"i told you this wasn't a date," he said chuckling a bit.

"i know but that doesn't mean that I can't show out a little huh?" she replied pushing at his arm in a playful manner.

"yeah, whatever," he said rolling his eyes in response.

Once they had gotten to Tyler's McLaren, he opened the passenger side door for her and closed it once she got in. He took the top down on his car and they both rode through the town viewing the beautiful sunset. The ride was silent, they let Self Control by Frank Ocean quietly play in the background to make the silence between them reasonable.

Faye was all in her thoughts, twiddling her finger as she didn't like the silence between Tyler and her. She wanted to hear him talk, one thing that she like about him, the way he talked about things nonstop and the deep voice that came with it. She got snapped out of her thoughts when Tyler took a sharp right into an empty parking lot.

"yo, what the fuck,' Faye said adjusting in her seat.

"my bad," Tyler said quickly. He then rushed out of the car and opened the passenger side door for Faye.

"i thought you said we were just driving around," Faye said cocking her head to the side.

"yeah me too but, that car ride was getting awkward I want an actual conversation with you," Tyler said grabbing her hand and leading her to a grassy spot under a tree.

It was dark out now and the only source of light was the garden lights that surrounded and illuminated the tree. The tree was large, the pair rested their back on the stump only being a few inches away from each other. Faye looked at the ground while thinking of something to say while Tyler stared at Faye's side profile, one thing he liked about her physical appearance.

"you know," Tyler started, "I never intended on feeling this way about you..."

"feel what way," Faye responded dumbfounded.

"at first it was just, I liked your music your voice was everything to me and once I met you, it was more than that. Everything about you is so tranquil and soft and I really need that in my life. I rely on your company, sometimes I say I'm bored just to hang out with you and whenever I'm around you it feels like you're mine. In reality I pulled this corny shit just to say how I feel about you because I didn't know how else to say it," Tyler confessed.

Faye looked into his eyes, honestly shocked but relieved that they shared the same feelings. They stared at each other for a while, neither of them knowing what to say next.

"it is corny," Faye spoke up, "but I liked it, I never knew you're dumbass was capable of doing shit like this," she said laughing off the tension.

Faye got away with leaving the conversation at that and starting a new one, one where feelings aren't felt nor confessed. She like Tyler, a lot really. She didn't want to start one and get herself worked up over something that might not work out especially since no matter how hard she tried she's still not completely over Royal.
