Chapter 95| The Con

"Good thing, you are here together," Ryujun said when he found Chan and Minah sitting beside eachother. Chan was studying whereas the female had a comic book in hand.

"Take a breath first," Chan said, handing him a water bottle. He gulped down the water, surprising the both of them. "Minseok has called both of you at 306 after school. I need to inform this news a few others of your class as well, bye."

After school, Minah entered the room 306 with Chan following behind her. Donghyuck was already there, sitting on a chair. He smiled at her when their eyes met.

Donghyuck patted his thigh, indicating Minah to sit there. She did as he said, sitting down on his thighs,  wrapping her arms around his neck. Chan averted his gaze when Donghyuck leaned in to kiss her lips.

"Eww," Bora grunted in disgust, "Get a room you two." Yumi glared at the couple, balling her hands into fists. "You are just jealous," Donghyuck remarked making Minah slap his arm.

"That hurt." Donghyuck pretended to wince in pain. "Why Minseok called us though? Another party again?" Chan took a chair and rotated it around to sit on it the wrong way, resting his arms on the back of it.

"Wow, that should be fun," Yumi said, sending a wink at him. Minah scrutinized her eyebrows at the sight of that. "I don't wanna go to a party," Somin whined, "We have exams next week."

Pilyoo clicked his tongue. "We could care less about your studies. Even the topper is here with us." Ryujun nodded. "Right and you guys know Minseok. He is too weak at heart. You guys can't reject him like that."

"Bullshit," Minah spoke up, " What the worst would he do? He isn't some guy who would even cry. And where is he by the way if it matters to him that much? We are all here already. Why isn't he coming? He should be the first one to be here?"

"I'm so sorry, sweetheart. I was busy making some arrangements for you all," Minseok said in a greasy voice, coming inside. "Don't you fucking dare call my girlfriend nicknames with that dirty mouth of yours," Donghyuck warned him with a glare that contained nothing but fury.

"Oh, you are here, too? I thought you hadn't come yet, having the reputation to be the last one to show up as if you were protagonist of some TV show," the male retorted.

"You saw Minah but not me?" Donghyuck pursed his lips, showing clear annoyance. Chan interrupted their argument, "It seems you are the one who wanted to act like a main character this time. We have fucking things to do instead of waiting for you like this."

"Okay fine, calm yourselves down. I went to get these made for us," Minseok spoke, spilling a dash of badges on a desk in front of them. "What the hellish fuck are these?" Bora widened her eyes, cursing openly.

"These are specially made for my friends—meaning you guys," he said, placing his palm on his chest to pretend to be a devoted friend to them, "For the party this week." Yumi smiled, stepping towards him. She leaned in to whisper seductively in his ear, "Now you are talking."

Minah practically gagged, feeling nauseous at the sight. "I know what makes you happy, babe." Minseok used to call every girl with nicknames, flirting with them, even when none of them was his girlfriend. Actually he never dated just to flirt thoughtlessly with everyone.

"Count me out," Bora muttered, making Minah turn her head at her, glaring. "Don't you dare step out of this shit now. We started together and so we will suffer together."

"Aww don't say things like that please." Minseok pretended to get hurt. "And for you Bora—" he stepped towards her to get on his knees in front of her. He tugged a strand of her hair behind her ear, eyeing her lovingly. "I have specially arranged a surprise for you."

Bora was dumbfounded for a moment, actually falling for his words. Chan threw a small notepad on his head which he always kept in his pocket to note anything that felt important for his studies, being a typical nerd.

"Oh, how did it get there? My bad," he fake apologized when Minseok let out a loud wince and looked behind at Chan, squinting his eyes. "I was just saying to cut it out," Chan continued, "We are all gonna be there. Just stop these greasy acts."

Minah smiled, being proud at her best friend who prevented Bora to get any more fuzzy feelings about a guy like Minseok who could do anything just to get things done in his way.
