I woke up to see that Jungkook was already gone. He was not by my side anymore. I sneezed loudly. It was not okay for me to sleep without blanket, that too on the floor.

Also alone.

When Jungkook was there, I could feel his warmth. But after he left, I probably got cold.

I rinsed my mouth and roamed around the house. I could not find Jungkook anywhere. I went to the kitchen to get some water.

"Uncle Kim?" He was cooking omelette and some staffs were standing around him.

"Why are you cooking on your own?" I asked him seeing this new aspect of him.

"I wanted to make breakfast for my injured son" he smiled gently.

I smiled back and secretly made a video of him cooking. This video would definitely be sent to Taehyung.

I went outside to see Jungkook working on a car engine. He was wearing a t-shirt, different from last night. The sleeves were rolled up. The veins in his arms were clearly visible. His bony hands rummaged through things.

I wondered what that kid ate to become like that.

"You can't date a man by just staring, scooby doo" Jungkook looked up at me.

"When did you see me?" I was flustered.

"At the moment, you came outside" he continued his work.

"How?" I questioned.

"Through my peripheral vision" he squinted his eyes.

It felt unfair.

"Kkum-sshi" he called.

"What?" I yelled.

"Would you please test the car and tell me if it is fixed or not?" He had a frown on his face.

I sat in the driving seat and Jungkook moved away from in front of the car. I started it and it was moving.

"It's okay" I gave him a thumbs up.

"Whose car is it?" I asked after I got out.

"Taehyung's. He wanted me to fix it" Jungkook shrugged.

"Why? Where is he going?" I started panicking.

"He didn't tell me." This time I frowned.

"Don't worry. I won't let him out of our sight" Jungkook smiled reassuringly.

That day, we stayed at the Kims' again. It was really fun since aunt Kim was extremely nice and uncle Kim was also trying to have some family time.

Taehyung did not say anything after he found out that his dad made that omelette for him.

But I knew, he was dying out of happiness inside. He loved his dad too much. Also he respected him from the start. But his expectations were finally getting fulfilled.

He ate that omelette fully.

"Why didn't you go to the hospital today?" Jungkook asked me at the dining table.

"You didn't go to your office too" I countered.

"You kids really don't have to waste your time on Tae like that" aunt Kim said,

"Tomorrow other kids will also come here. They got to know about Tae's state today. So you two will go to your work places in the morning."

We nodded politely.

We were given guestrooms for the night. But I could not fall asleep at a new place. The walls seemed to be getting farther and the ceiling seemed to come down.

I felt afraid and claustrophobic at the same time. I came outside of the house and saw Taehyung's car. There was a garden inside of the house near the garage.

I got into the car. The keys were in it. I drove the car out of the garage and halted it beside the garden. I sat on the top of it and kept looking at the flowers.

"You need it" a bottle of beer was in my sight all of a sudden.

"Jungkook?" He hopped on and sat beside me.

"I can't seem to fall asleep. So I wanted to go on a drive" he opened the bottle.

"This late? With a beer? Do you  boys seriously want to get yourself killed?" I said and he laughed.

"Geez, I wasn't going to drink and drive. You can act as such a righteous person at times. The boys were always fed up with your rules." He took a sip.

I just looked ahead. I knew about that.

But still it managed to make me angry after a few seconds. I snatched the bottle away from him and gulped down the alcohol.

Jungkook's POV:

"Slowly." I warned her but she chugged down the whole bottle in a few minutes.

"Jungkook" Kkum spoke after a while.

"Yeah?" I sounded pathetic. I was mourning for my drink. I could take just one sip.

"Do you know what I want?" She whispered as if someone else could hear it.

"What?" I was more attentive that time.

"I want an umbrella. An umbrella could protect me both from scorching sun and rain with thunderstorms."

I stared at her breathtaking face. She looked at me. Her eyes looked gloomy as ever. She was sad. She was always sad.

"Also I can happily take an umbrella even when I don't need it. It will make me look fancy" she giggled.

I smiled at her. I knew that she was drunk. But that was the most honest she was with me since high school got over. I wanted to capture that moment and print it on my heart.

"It doesn't mean that I am selfish. I can be an umbrella too. I can shield someone too. But I really want someone protect me" she teared up.

I did not know what to do.

"I'm pathetic, right? I can't even take responsibility of myself. I can't even protect myself" her voice broke.

I shook my head.

"You are the strongest person, I have ever known" I said to her,

"You will get even stronger after finding your umbrella, enough strong to even be someone else' umbrella since there is someone out there who badly needs you too."

"Really?" Her eyes glittered.

I nodded and she smiled widely.

"Park Kkum" I called her.

"Yes?" She tilted her head to the side.

I laughed and pinched her cheek.

She winced.

"What is it?" She asked while rubbing the part of her cheek I pinched.

"Can I be your umbrella?"
