I was reading a novel and was trying to fall asleep. But I could not completely concentrate on it given that my mind was too occupied with the things that happened for the past few days.
My phone rang at that time. It was Jungkook who called me. I had totally forgotten that they were supposed to have a bachelor party that night.
I picked it up.
"Hey."
"Come outside right now" he said and laughed.
"Huh?" I looked outside my window. Jungkook was looking like a completely fool, standing there.
"Come on now" He said again. I cut the call and quickly went outside the door. I wondered where Jimin was.
"What are you doing out here?" I went closer to him,
"Ew! You reek of alcohol!" I exclaimed.
He sheepishly smiled.
"That was supposed to be a secret."
"What the-"
"Look, Kkum. I need a place to sleep for the night. The other guys kicked me out of Yoongi's house and told me to sleep somewhere else because I got it as a dare."
"They are drunk too, aren't they?" I bit my nails.
"Yes" he grinned.
"Then why didn't you go to your place?" I asked but he did not reply to me. He went inside my house.
"Jungkook, wait" I whisper yelled. But it was of no use. As he made his way to my room and plopped on the bed as if it was his own.
He looked tired. I sighed.
I sat on my couch and started reading my novel again.
I woke up in the morning. I must have fallen asleep while reading the book. It was easy since the book was too boring.
I looked over at Jungkook to see him still sleeping.
I got freshened up. I had taken a few days leave from hospital. I took out the dress which I wanted to wear the next day for the wedding ceremony.
"I am so very sorry, Kkum" I heard Jungkook saying.
"Of course, you are" I kept my dress on the bed and started looking for some jewellery which would go good with it. My China rose pendant would look really good with it. But I could not wear it.
"What are you doing? What is it?" Jungkook asked me taking my dress in his hand.
"Don't touch it" I warned him and he timidly kept the dress aside where it was.
"Are you going to wear it tomorrow?" He questioned again.
I nodded.
"Do you have something to say about it? Do you not like the design? Well damn it. I don't care!" I snapped.
"No. I was not going to say anything like that" he stood up, "It's lavender."
"And?" I was prepared for his childish comments.
"This colour looks beautiful on you" he said.
I was taken aback by what he said. We kept looking into each others' eyes. I did not know the reason behind it though.
I broke our eye contact after a while.
"I need to organise things a little bit. So can you go now? The chef will make some hangover soup if you ask for it."
"It's not needed. I am going to hit the road" he said "Also I apologize for last night."
He went out the door.
It was soon the next day, the big day, the wedding day.
I watched my reflection in the mirror as the lavender coloured dress hugged my figure. It was an off shoulder dress with a flower and a ribbon on it's waistline.
The length of the front of the dress stopped above my knees. The length of the dress gradually increased towards the back. It had multiple layers starting from the waist.
I took off my China rose pendant which was hidden under my collar and wore a necklace with lavender coloured stones. I had my rose shaped earrings on which were also of lavender colour.
I wore my silver coloured heels which had lavender coloured stones on it. That was when Jimin yelled out my name.
"Kkum! We are getting late."
"I will be there in a minute" I yelled back. I looked at myself one more time before getting out the room.
We reached at the venue. Jimin opened the door for me.
"Thank you" I appreciated.
"You look too good to open the car door today" he complimented me.
I let out a laugh.
I looked around to find Jungkook laughing and talking with Soyeon's parents. They seemed to like Jungkook a lot.
Jungkook was wearing a white shirt and a plum coloured blazer with black jeans. His hair was a little parted to show a bit of his forehead. He had a hairstyle which was not too formal and not too casual.
As much as I hated to admit it, he looked good.
"Hello, Kkum dear. You look really pretty" Soyeon's mother said to me.
"Thank you so much. You look always gorgeous."
"You both are dressed in matching colours" Soyeon's father said indicating me and Jungkook.
"The shades are not same!" I defended and they laughed.
"Can you excuse us for a moment?" Jungkook said and held my hand to take me aside.
"What is it?" I asked him.
He brought my hand forth and took out something from the pocket of his jacket.
It was a bracelet which was lavender and flowered. It had little purple pearls on it.
He made me wear it on my wrist. It took my breath away.
"Gosh! Jungkook, where did you find it?" I was too surprised.
"I searched for it" he plainly said.
"On Google?" I asked while admiring the ornament on my wrist.
"Well. Let's say that" he shrugged "I am glad you liked it."
"Stop kidding with me, Jeon. You can not find such a beautiful bracelet online."
"It doesn't matter" he let go of my wrist for a split second then held it back again.
He started to stare at my wrist where the bracelet was."I can not help looking at it" he complained and I laughed.
"What made you buy this?" I asked him again.
"I thought that I should buy a gift for the bridesmaid." He let go off my hand.
"Thanks. It looks perfect" I smiled which he returned.
