Chapter 10| Magic

"Did anything happen?"

Taehyung rolled his eyes and walked away.

He knew that Kkum's nagging brother would obviously think that Taehyung was to be blamed.

He also was kind of annoyed at himself. These days he can not hide his emotions anymore.

He used to wear a fake emotion mask before. He always acted as if he were okay. But now he can not act that well.

On top of that Kkum and Jungkook's scandal was something which was on Taehyung's mind too.

"Taetae" Jimin called his best friend. He followed him.

"I want to be alone for some time" Taehyung said.

"You know that it's not really easy for me too. If Kkum doesn't wake up then-" Jimin paused.

"She will. She has to" he said and walked away.

"I want you with whom my eyes met"

"It was a magic itself"

"Oppa" Jiah called her brother.

Jungkook can't avoid Jiah. He could never. When Jiah was born, he was the happiest in his life.

"I will name her" 12 years old Jungkook said with the biggest smile on his face.

He smiled hearing Jiah's voice. Suddenly everything was falling into place.

"Yes?" He said after opening the door.

"Can you narrate a bedtime story for me?" Jiah said.

"You still need to hear bedtime stories?" Jungkook said chuckling.

"No. But nobody is in the house. So I was kind of feeling lonely" she said and Jungkook's face fell.

Bedtime story was just an excuse for Jiah. She wanted to spend time with her busy brother.

A 12 years old does not need to listen bedtime stories to fall asleep. But she did not know any other way.

Jungkook ruffled her hair and said,

"Where are mom and dad?"

"They said that something came up."

Jungkook found it strange. But he also wanted to forget all of the worries and spend some genuine happy time with Jiah.

"So why did he leave his friend and run away?" Jiah asked Jungkook.

"Don't you already know these stories?" Jungkook said bopping her nose.

"Yeah but I want to know your opinion. Would you still be friends with this type of person?" She said.

"Yes" Jungkook answered without any hesitation,

"Friendship isn't always about give and take. Sometimes you just have to give without the greed of taking. You have to wait for that person to realise that how much you always do for her.

How you always think about that person when you find a good song or a good book" Jungkook finished.

"Friendship? Isn't that love?" Jiah said and Jungkook looked at her.

He was silent for a while before saying,

"Friendship is love too" he continued,

"Also if you see that no matter what you do your friend never reciprocates your feelings or appreciate it and you are getting tired because of her. Then you know that it's time to let go."
