I woke up the following day to an empty bed and a note on the nightstand saying Seth had gotten called to work earlier than expected. I sat up and ran my hands through my hair before forcing myself out of the comfortable bed and into the shower.

I started up the shower making it as hot as I could stand because I needed it to soothe my aching muscles before stepping under the multiple sprays. After an extended shower, I toweled off and slipped into one of Seth's shirts and a pair of his boxers, seeing as he didn't believe in basketball shorts. Once I was dressed, if you can even say that, I made my way downstairs and into the kitchen for some food to satisfy my grumbling stomach.

Upon reaching the ground floor and entering the kitchen, I noticed a plate sitting in the warmer tray with steam billowing off its contents. I found myself smiling as I picked up the plate, quickly depositing it on the island and shaking my hands because the glass was scorching. I looked through the cabinets until I found the syrup, salt, and pepper, then scooped up a glass to pour myself some milk.

I scrolled through my phone as I lazily ate my eggs first, wanting to get them off my plate before drowning it in syrup. I finished off the sausage and the fluffy, buttery pancakes before washing my dishes and deciding to go home to get clothes of my own. While I didn't have to work today, I didn't want to spend the entire day in borrowed clothes. It was a relaxed day for me, so when I saw the note sitting on top of the hood of his Lamborghini Enzo saying:

"She's yours for the day; take good care of her." ~D

My smile widened as I opened the door to spot the keys lying on the seat along with the code to the security gate. I cheered as I hopped in and ran my hands along the interior before cranking her up and listening to her purr. I pulled out of the garage after making sure to lock the house, and once I was passed the gate and out on the winding road, I tested just how fast this baby could go.

I slowed down as I got to the actual city, and my first trip was home to put on some decent clothes and then head back out to do some shopping. It wasn't a regular occurrence for me to have extra spending money, but I had picked up some extra hours and could afford to buy a few cute outfits or whatnot. I went to a few stores but couldn't find anything I liked besides some lotions and perfumes from Bath & Body Works. I saw a few things I would like, but I couldn't afford to get right then with how my money was set up now.

Once I was finished 'treating' myself, I got something to eat and then headed back to my house to busy myself with something. After several minutes of moaning about not finding anything to hold my attention, I danced around the house to music until I was interrupted by my doorbell ringing. With a look of confusion, I opened the door, and half laughed as I spotted the package on my porch. I brought it inside, opened it, and upon seeing the contents; which happened to be the items I couldn't buy today, I picked up my phone to call Seth as I flipped over the card to see his message.

"Come see me." ~D

He answered on the first ring with his usual greeting of 'Hey Princess,' and I smiled before looking down at the box of items.

"I thought the security detail was only there for business purposes?" I questioned while pulling the various dresses, jackets, and bags from the box.

"Who says it wasn't business?" Seth retorted, and I could hear the amusement in his voice.

I shouldn't be surprised at this point that he also had them jotting down anything I so much as showed an inkling of interest in. Seth and I had an incident causing the need for security detail in the first place, but I had assumed that they were only for that. Then again, the man had bribed Bridget just to find my address and personal information almost two years ago; I shouldn't put it past him.
