Katie's PoV:
I pulled my eyes open, head throbbing and immediately slammed them shut again, the light targeting the pain.
"Morning." A voice mumbled next to me and I grumbled in response.
"I warned you." Charlotte laughed softly and I just pulled my pillow from under my head and hit her lightly with it.
"I can hit you back if you want." She tempted and I immediately retracted the pillow from the blondes face.
"Thought as much." The smugness radiated off the walls as her warmth left my side.
"Don't go." I grumbled groggily and she let out a single chuckle.
I pulled the pillow over my head, wishing for the pain to disappear.
"Babe... you need to get up, we have to be out of here in an hour and a half and I want to swim and grab breakfast from upstairs." Charlotte whispered softly in my ear and I nodded reluctantly, pulling the pillow off my head.
"Wait seriously? I thought you'd put up more of a fight than that." Her tone filled with surprise.
"I may be hungover but a calming swim and free all you can eat food will do the trick." I swung my legs over the edge of the bed, unbuttoning my blouse that I'd evidently fallen asleep in.
We quickly slipped on our swimming costumes and grabbed our towels before wrapping dressing gowns around us to keep our frames hidden from the other residents.
We signed into the pool and once again were the only ones there.
I slipped into the pool, the water relieving me of the tension that had been weighting me down.
I swam 25 lengths, my goal every time I sourced a pool and Charlotte had outdone me by almost twice as many.
It had been about half an hour so we wrapped our heated towels around us, chatting aimlessly as we climbed the stairs back to our room.
Charlotte hopped in the shower whilst I packed our bags.
"You go shower, I'll finish this." Her warm arms wrapped around my waist, kissing my neck softly.
I nodded with a smile, turning my face to peck her lips before dashing to take a rapid shower.
I located the hairdryer and dried my hair to the extent where it was now only mildly damp.
Throwing it into a messy bun, I threw a comfy jumper, leggings and uggs on before returning to the main room.
"How did you fit all of this stuff in?" An exasperated blonde panted, practically sat on top of my suitcase.
"Just move out of the way, I've got this. You do forget that I would travel to hotel after hotel, taking everything I'd need for a month with me." I giggled, unpacking the monstrosity she had created and laying it out on the bed.
"If you want to go and get started on breakfast, be my guest honey. I'll join you in 5." I assured and the blonde shook her head, flipping onto the bed.
"I'll stay here... if that's okay?" Her tone becoming suddenly timid.
"Of course it's okay." I smiled up at her and she nodded, admiring how my clothes appeared to halve in size upon entering my suitcase.
I finished packing everything away, it fitting perfectly and Charlotte gasped in relief.
"As I said, I'm a professional." I giggled, retying my hair and pulling my case to stand vertically.
