Chapter 16

Vernon and Seungkwan's pov

"Vernon, what's going on? This is the fourth time this week you've been out till late. Maybe we made a mistake moving in together." Seungkwan fired angrily. This was already getting too much for him to bear and he was tired of it. What was always keeping him out so late. They both attended the same college, they both lived together, they were literally together all the time so why was his boyfriend going out at odd hours of the night and coming back late in the morning. "Or-or are you c-cheating on me? The male asked in a scared tone.

"What, where is all this coming from." Vernon laughed. To him his boyfriend always looked the cutest whenever he was throwing one of his famous tantrums. "Kwan I'm not cheating on you. I just had somethings to take care of." Vernon tried assuring his boyfriend who was now almost on the verge of tears. Sometimes vernon wondered how he ever got with seungkwan cosidering the fact that they were so opposite in nature.  Where as Vernon was quiet and reserved, his boyfriend was loud and sassy and wasn't afraid to put anyone who crossed him in their place. They were basically the other sides of magnets but vernon had still found himself falling deeper and deeper for the male. Sadly for him, all good things had to come to an end, like his relationship with seungkwan. His hyung had warned him over a month ago to cut off whatever distraction he had going on and he had agreed to do so but wasn't able to. But now he basically has no choice. Seungkwan had started to ask questions about his family, what they did, where he went etc. All of which where a recipe for disaster. Plus he also didn't want his hyung to take matters into his own hands, it would be way worse.

Vernon had met seungkwan in college when the male was still going through his admission process. He had been sent by seungcheol to get close to one of the boys in the clique, preferably jeonghan but once Vernon had got to know seungkwan he couldnt go through with starting something intimate with jeonghan plus he found out the male wasn't a bad person,  he wasn't one of those snobby rich kids that carried their riches on their shoulders for the whole world to see. He was pure, kind, gentle, humble and shy. Even his friends were acceptable people too. And because of all this Vernon had ended up liking the male and all the others. So he convinced his hyung about him joining their cliques and getting close to them all. To him it was better than playing with someone's feelings who didn't deserve it. Although now things had taken a turn for the worst, his beautiful boyfriend was starting to be a problem.

"Kwan, if you seriously don't trust me then maybe we shouldn't be together." Vernon concluded. The words like bile in his mouth. He obviously didn't mean that, in fact no matter how seungkwan treated him he would never ever consider breaking up with the male but he had no choice now. It had to be done.

"W-W-what do you m-m-ean" The sassy male stuttered. He had already started to cry.

All of this was breaking Vernon's heart, watching his baby cry just because of him. It made him feel like dying but what else could he do. He couldn't risk exposing his family or putting them in danger especially his hyung. In fact seungcheol was actually the only reason he was doing it. god knows the male had done more than enough for him and even treated him like a doeseng. There was no way in this life that he was ever going to choose someone else other than the older male. His hyung had been his hero since he was a little boy and still was.

Vernon stared at the crying male for a second before walking out the door. He didn't even bother taking his belongings because he knew that seeing seugkwan's crying state would instantly make him reverse his statement and he didn't want to. It had to be done for both their sakes.

Seungkwan stared at the door in disbelief hoping that his boyfriend would instantly walk through the door claiming that it was all a prank or that he would wake up and it would have all been a dream. He tried closing his eyes and opening them, each time praying that he would find himself in bed with Vernon but he was still here, still crying, still staring at the door the male had walked out off. It wasn't a dream, it wasn't a prank, it was real. Did Vernon leave him because of his constant nagging and questions? Seungkwan couldn't help but wonder. He wasn't trying to be nosy or be a nagging boyfriend. He was just worried. Who in his or her right mind would notice their boyfriends going out by 1am in the morning or answering secret phone calls and wouldn't want to know what was going on. More over he thought his boyfriend was being threatened hence the nosy and nagging attitude. He was just scared for his safety and now he had lost him. Seungkwan couldn't stop the tears from flowing down as he stood there, his small and beautiful teary eyes still fixed on the door.

He was lost.
