"how'd it go with juyeon?" kevin asked, taking a seat next to changmin inside the library.
"bad. i kind of got upset and yelled at him." changmin sighed, burying his face onto his hands.
"why? what'd he do?" kevin asked, rubbing changmin's back in comfort.
"after i confessed he asked me what did i want for him to say and i was confused. then he said 'you already know i can't reciprocate your feelings but you told me anyway because you want something from me' and i just got upset." changmin sighed, finally looking up at kevin.
"i think he just didn't know what to say." kevin told him, before continuing. "now i think it's time you broke up with younghoon, this fake relationship isn't doing anything."
"i already broke up with him, through text." changmin shrugged, ignoring the look kevin sent him.
"what? it was a fake relationship." changmin defended himself, frowning when his stomach rumbled.
"let's go eat, i'm pretty sure the others are waiting for us in the cafeteria." kevin suggested, standing up from his chair. he noticed changmin's hesitancy and waited for a second before prying.
"what's up?" he asked, hoping changmin would open up to him so that they can finally go eat, he was starving.
"nothing, i'm just nervous to see juyeon. what if he told chanhee? or what if he hates me?" changmin asked, slight panic heard in his voice.
"why are you so worried about something you can't control? who cares if juyeon doesn't like you? it's not the end of the world. also, chanhee would've already hunted you down if juyeon told him, i'm pretty sure you're safe." kevin explained, smiling when changmin reluctantly stood up.
"you're right. let's go eat, i heard it was nacho day." changmin nodded, heading towards the cafeteria with kevin attached to his arm.
as soon as they entered the cafeteria, he noticed that everything seemed normal. the table was talking amongst each other just like any other day. the only thing changmin noticed was that as soon as juyeon saw him, he immediately stopped laughing and dropped the arm he had around chanhee. chanhee didn't seem to notice as he was in the middle of a conversation with sunwoo. juyeon then went back to the conversation he was having with hyunjae.
changmin stared at juyeon before he felt someone else burning holes on the side of his face, he ignored it at first, thinking it was kevin but he kept feeling like he was being watched so he finally turned to glare at kevin but the older was in a conversation with jacob.
changmin scanned the area and his heart dropped when he locked eyes with sunwoo's. he immediately looked away and hoped that sunwoo didn't notice him staring at juyeon.
which he most definitely did.
"so, why'd you and younghoon break up?" sunwoo asked, catching the attention from everyone at the table.
"that's a rude question, didn't your parents teach you manners?" changmin snapped, surprising everyone, including himself.
"would it also be rude if i asked why you were staring at juyeon with heart eyes?" sunwoo asked with fake innocence and changmin felt his heart drop. he registered a few gasps as his eyes locked with chanhee's, who had a confused look on his face.
"wait, what? what do you mean, sunwoo?" chanhee asked, a frown on his face. juyeon was looking at changmin, as was everyone else, waiting for him to say something.
