"while we have some time, there's something that you should know if you wanna be in our friend group." eric told changmin once lunch was over.

"eric, we don't have time. we're literally in class." kevin scoffed but, nonetheless, moved his chair closer to them.

"what should i know?" changmin asked, sitting up straight when kevin and eric glanced at each other.

"we're a big friend group, as you can see, so things are bound to go down." kevin started off, signaling eric to continue.

"younghoon and chanhee used to date." eric said, raising an eyebrow at changmin when he dramatically dropped his jaw.

"i'm sorry but i already have a hard time believing that juyeon is dating chanhee and now you wanna tell me that younghoon used to date him too?" changmin said, disbelief clear on his voice.

"chanhee isn't that bad, you guys just started off on the wrong foot." eric assured changmin, who was obviously still iffy about that part but he didn't say anything.

"anyway, younghoon doesn't like that juyeon started dating chanhee so they don't really get along." kevin continued, looking at changmin to make sure he understood everything.

"they used to be bestfriends, actually." kevin added and changmin frowned at his words, what kind of best friend is that?

"also, juyeon and hyunjae are brothers so don't talk shit about the other in front of them. i made that mistake once." eric shivered at the last part as he remembered the painful memory.

"those are the most important things, just try to get a feel of the group and soon you'll fit right in!" kevin excitedly said, eric nodding enthusiastically next to him.

"i can't believe you became friends with them out of everyone in school." sangyeon shook his head, tossing his backpack on the couch.

"what's wrong with them?" changmin asked, placing his bag down before following sangyeon to the kitchen.

"you hung out with them today and you mean to tell me that everything was fine and dandy?" sangyeon asked, taking out the carton of orange juice from the fridge.

"i mean, chanhee hates me but other th-"

"i'm sorry, what? how did you manage to get the scariest guy in school to hate you?" sangyeon asked, causing changmin to scoff and roll his eyes.

"you're lame for saying that by the way." changmin commented, taking a seat on the stools.

"dude, i'm serious. chanhee has problems, be careful." sangyeon sighed out, patting changmin on the back before taking a swig of the orange juice.

"they keep telling me that he's not that bad but i have yet to see that." changmin told him, glancing at him in disgust.

"why'd you drink from the carton?" changmin asked, rolling his eyes when sangyeon just shrugged.

"chanhee is terrible, he's made my life a living hell." sangyeon ignored the question.

"what? how?"

"ever since he first entered school, he took everything from me." sangyeon said, shaking his head as he stared down at the table.

"aren't you being a little dramatic?" changmin questioned, raising his hands in surrender when sangyeon glared at him.

"he literally took my spot as the school's best singer, i kissed so much ass for that position but he just waltzed in and took it from me."

"why does it matter if you're not the best? you're still really good." changmin told him but sangyeon only scoffed.
