QUICK A/N:
This is Y/N's fourth year and that would mean it's Harry's as well. (Which is in the Goblet of Fire) However, I'm going to completely dismiss the Triwizard Tournament in this book and pretend it wasn't there :)Back to the story:
Y/N's POV:
After the majority of the school had finished dessert, I figured it was a good time to go over to Louis. Sauntering through the crowded hall, I made it to the Gryffindor table and where Louis was sitting. He was chatting to the Golden Trio and their friends, all of which were very welcoming."Hey, Louis!" I greeted, tapping him on the shoulder. We didn't get to properly reunite earlier because all of Hogwarts was watching. "Hi, Y/N!!" He replied. Louis jumped up and gave me a hug. I could remember how his hugs were one of the best I've ever received.
"Hello, partner in crime." Someone behind me chimed in. Finnigan. Seamus Finnigan. I turned around to see him smirking with his brown hair messy per usual. Seamus and I were known as the trouble makers in class; we'd always prank and annoy others together.
The rest of the group then followed suit and greeted me. I then murmured to Louis: "Come on, I want you to meet my friends." He agreed and I led him to my spot on the Slytherin table.
"Draco, Pansy and Blaise. This is Louis... and Louis, these are my friends." I introduced. Louis awkwardly waved and Draco returned him a sarcastic smile and little snigger. "Hi." Louis said to diffuse the tension nevertheless, Draco ignored him and turned to me. "Y/N, you can't hang out with Gryffindors. I told you already. Also, he's probably a mudblood." Louis obviously heard all of this and cleared his throat. "Sorry, to interrupt." Louis sassed. "But I'm actually a pure-blood." For a split-second, Draco seemed humiliated but he retorted. "Hmm, really? How so?" Louis sighed. "My father is from a pure-blood family - my paternal grandmother was an Avery herself - one of the families on the Sacred Twenty Eight. My mother is a Flament - one of the families of French Pure-blood Elites. You know, my family is half-French. So, Malfoy, your point is?"
Even though Draco tried to hide it, we could easily tell that Draco, Pansy and Blaise were all shocked. "Draco, he has some of the purest bloodlines I know so stop being so immature. You're both fighting like children." I scolded. "Y/N, he still can't hang out with you." Draco said.
"Why, Draco?"
"H-he's... a Gryffindor!"
"That's bullshit, houses don't matter."
"No is no, Y/N."
Pansy concurred. Blaise who would usually be understanding mouthed me 'I'm sorry'. With that, I turned around, grabbed Louis' hand and walked away. I couldn't believe they would be so cold to Louis, knowing how important he is to me.After I got far enough away from the Slytherin table, I immediately apologized to Louis for putting him through that. I knew it would have been very awkward. "It's not your fault, Y/N. Don't worry about it." He reassured me.
I haven't hung out with him in forever. "So Louis... why'd you come back to Britain?" I questioned.
"Oh, my father's been promoted to a better, high-paying job back in the British Ministry of Magic. If I'm not mistaken, it was Senior Assistant to the Minister! ... And we're living back in our old house again!"
"Awh... that's fantastic!" I congratulated. Now, Louis and I strolled through the empty corridors and I showed him around the school.
I walked him back to the Gryffindor common room where we found Harry and his friends. "Louis, they're really nice. They'll take you to class tomorrow. We have mostly the same classes so I'll see you there" I said. Louis nodded and said: "Goodnight, Y/N."
"Goodnight, Louis"I ambled back down to the dungeons and the Slytherin common room. By then, it must've been 10:00. I opened the door to my dorm to see Pansy already in there. It was just the two of us in the dorm.
"Y/N! Where were you?" She asked.
"I was showing Louis around the school." I replied.
"You're still hanging out with him after Draco?"
"Pans, I don't give a fuck about what Draco thinks. Louis will always be my friend and Draco can't do anything about it."
"Alright, alright. I kind of agreed with Draco but I'll tell him that."I quickly did my night routine and changed into my pajamas which were a silky navy with accents of pink. Then, I collapsed onto my bed and fell asleep. Day one at Hogwarts was over.
