Y/N's POV:

Louis :)

L: Hey! Can you hang out today? I have a surprise for you.

Of course, it's Saturday and you know I'm never busy on Saturday. :Y/N

L: Ok, I'll meet you at the Slytherin common room in 20 minutes.

Ok!:Y/N

-PRESENT-
Immediately after I switch off my phone, I rush over to Pansy who was scrolling through her phone. Lightly shaking her arm, I asked her: "Pans, help me pick out an outfit."

"Wow, surprised you asked - everyone knows you have impeccable style." She said, her voice half sarcastic.
"Pans... I need your help - Louis asked me to hang out and he said it's a surprise. I dunno what to wear!"

Her head shot up from her pillow, eyes widened. At that moment, I knew exactly what her brain was thinking. " Don't bloody think about it." I said.
"LOUIS? A SURPRISE? Y/N! He fancies you." Pansy shrieked.
"Right... we've been friends for forever." I said.
" You guys are made for each other! I've seen the way he looks at you and vice versa."
"WHAT?! It really is not like that!" Did I just lie though? I always had the teeniest crush on Louis at the back of my head and him returning to Britain definitely did not make it go away. But... we were the best of friends. I would never risk jeopardising our friendship to admit to Louis - this is probably why I was never put in Gryffindor.

"Ok, ok. If he is asking you out, I get 10 Galleons, alright." Pansy said. I groaned as she hopped out of her bed and headed towards my wardrobe. "You didn't say 'no'!" She said teasingly. Pansy swung the white wardrobe doors open, acting like she owned everything, then casually flicked through each item I hung in there.

"AH-HAH!" Pansy exclaimed triumphantly. "Perfecto!" She twirled around holding a mini, form-fitting slip dress made out of sage green silk. The dress was about an inch away from being 'slutty'. "WHAT?! Are you mad?" I scolded. "It's 7 degrees out and you want half of my body exposed?"
"Don't worry! I've taken care of that already." Pansy unhooked the oversized, light wash denim jacket, that she gave me for my birthday, from my wardrobe.
"Are you nuts?" I continued to yell at her. "My legs are still out!"
"Y/N, just deal with it. Beauty is pain, even though you're naturally pretty, and you've gotta look amazing for your first date with Partridge!"

At this point, I had given up trying to reason with Pansy because it had wasted too much time; Louis was going to come in roughly 15 minutes! I snatched the clothes out of Pansy's hands and bolted into the bathroom to change. Once I finished, I rushed my simple makeup routine; little things like mascara, lipgloss and blush. I brushed my hair and sprinted back out the bathroom to see Pansy holding my white Air Force 1's. She placed them on the ground in front of me then frowned. "Seriously, Y/N, no jewellery?"

She opened my enchanted jewellery box which housed my jewellery collection. When she twisted the top, all of the compartments slid open. In the middle, there was a mirror and a tiny picture frame with a delicate, gold border, however, the frame was empty. Pansy carefully grabbed a pair of golden earrings with pearly pink butterflies. She clipped them onto my ears and I was good to go.

I put on my Air Force 1's then grabbed my white designer purse which carried important things such as my phone and money bag. "Bye!" I called out to Pansy and she replied with a wave before I shut the door.

I rushed down the stairs to the common room. "Where are you going?" A familiar voice asked. Draco. He was slouched on the couch beside Blaise.
"Oh, I'm hanging out with Louis!" I replied, grinning. The smirk on Draco's face was suddenly wiped away and replaced with an illegible frown.
"See you, then, Y/N!" Blaise said before returning back to his phone.

I proceeded to go to the entrance of the common room. Opening the door, I poked my head out to see Louis waiting on my left. He was wearing his black Carhartt jumper, the one he always wore, paired with blue jeans that matched my jacket. He was still oblivious that I had arrived so I shot him a whisper. "Hey!" Louis was leaning against the stone wall but immediately turned around.

"Hey, Y/N! Fancy outfit." He said, smirking flirtatiously; it was a rather bold move for him so it somewhat confused me. Was that a compliment or not? Did I overdress? I could feel my cheeks glowing bright pink. "I can tell when you're overthinking, Y/N. Stop overthinking."

Louis had one hand behind his back, like a waiter, which effused a delightful perfume. "What's behind there?" I asked, pointing to his hidden hand.

He revealed a stunning bouquet of delicate, purple flowers, bunched together by a pearly ribbon, and gave it to me. Lavenders; my favourites. "They were rather hard to find but-" Louis started.
"Wow..." I was at a lost for words. "T-thank you! How'd you know?"
"I might've asked around. Hermione said you fancied the smell of lavender - helps calm you? Well, I quite fancy them myself."

I hugged him, in a friendly manner, before he could ramble on any further. I could feel his body loosen up... smell his warm cologne.

"I have a surprise for you!" He exclaimed all of a sudden. Before I could even predict what the surprise was, he laced his fingers in mine and sprinted down the corridor, pulling me with him. The loud thuds our footsteps created echoed between the portrait-covered walls. We scampered through the corridors and skipped up many flights of stairs.

He led me to a place I recognised as the entrance of the astronomy tower. We climbed up the spiral staircase leading to the top but before we could reach the astronomy classroom, Louis pulled me into the storage floor. It was directly underneath the classroom so little rays of sunlight was peeking through the noisy, wooden floor boards. The storage room was a dim room with many labelled, cardboard boxes and rickety cupboards; probably containing a fortune's-worth of astronomy equipment such as telescopes and textbooks.

"Why are we here?" I asked, trying not to sound like a whiny brat.
"Okay, so the other night, I was helping Professor Sinistra reorganise some things in here." Louis started explaining. I was completely puzzle with what any of this had to do with me and my question. "When I was helping her, I stumbled upon something really cool and she said she never had any use for it. I asked her if I could use it then so she said : 'sure, I don't see why not!' and... that's why we're here."
"What?"

He gently covered my eyes with his hands before I could ask any more questions. Louis was extremely careful not to smudge my makeup; his eyes hovered close enough to blindfold me but far enough to not ruin my mascara. He directed me forward step by step until we came to a halt. I heard a door near me unlock. Louis enthusiastically spoke again: "Here's the moment you've been waiting for. 3... 2... 1..."

"MERLIN'S BEARD, LOUIS!"

A/N:
Sorry for the cliff-hanger (lol)! But the wait is worth it (hopefully).
