Draco's POV:
The next morning at breakfast, Blaise, Pansy and I sat together as always however Y/N was nowhere to be seen. It was all a blur. Until...

"Draco, still mad at Partridge, eh?" Blaise said.
"You're mocking me, aren't you?" I said with annoyance.
"Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no!" Blaise denied.
"Draco! Look, Y/N's snogging Partridge!"
"WHERE?"

Blaise burst into laughter. I knew my face immediately grew as red as a tomato with my eyes bulging at Blaise.

"So you are jealous of Partridge! Wait... do you like Y/N?" Blaise ridiculed. I groaned.
"Don't make me hurt y-"

"Guys! Stop fucking bickering!" Pansy stepped in. These two are really triggering my fight or flight response this morning.

"Anyways, Draco, Y/N said she doesn't give a fuck about what you think of Partridge. Nothing you do or say could change their friendship." Pansy explained.
"Wha- why? She must-" I retorted.
"Draco, be nice to him."
"I- I'll think about it... maybe."

Y/N's POV:
When I walked into the hall for breakfast, Draco shot me a glare from his seat. We made eye-contact for a second or two before I rolled my eyes and turned to Louis. Pansy waved to me, indicating me to sit with her, but I completely ignored her and sat with Louis on the Gryffindor table.

"What's up with you and Draco?" Hermione asked.
"Nothing, he's just being a dick." I said. The last thing I'd wanna think about right now was Draco.
"Yeah, well, he's always kind of rude but you can tell us anything and hang out with us anytime." Harry added. "After all, you're our best friend, Y/N." Harry was right. Whenever Draco, Blaise or Pansy and I fought, I'd hang out with Harry or Seamus. They were indeed my best friends; they were actually really kind and caring.

"Y/N, it seems like Malfoy's jealous!" Seamus chuckled. "He's staring at you right now!"
"Shut up, Seamus." I sighed. Turning around, I caught Draco indeed staring at me.
"W-well, Y/N, how about we all hang out tonight and watch a movie?" Ron suggested. Everyone looked at each other, exchanging 'yes, it sounds good' looks. Seamus agreed: "Ok, I'm down." Everyone else nodded Ron a 'yes'.

"Alright, uh, 8:10 at the Gryffindor common room." Ron said.
"Sounds like a plan!" I replied with a grin.

We then quickly finished our breakfast, cereal and toast, as it was 5 minutes until class begins. I had potions first. Harry, Ron, Hermione, Dean, Seamus and Louis did too so we rushed off together, hoping not to get in trouble with Professor Snape on the first day back.

We made it just in time for class. I stood around an old, wooden table with Louis, Seamus and Dean while Harry, Ron and Hermione were around the one next to ours'.

Professor Snape entered the room causing all the lively chatter to reduce to complete silence, enabling you to only hear Snape's footsteps. He abruptly turned around and sneered: "Mr Partridge, our new student. I hope Beauxbatons taught you well because we learn a little differently here. Do keep up."

Louis looked slightly offended but Professor Snape continued. "Today, you'll be making the... Ageing... Potion. Page 43. You shall start... now. I expect it completed by the end of the lesson."

15 minutes into the potion-making, Louis was helping me chop the newt spleens when...
BANG! At this point, I had lost count of what number of time this happened. Seamus' potion exploded, sending smoke along with purple sparks into the air. All eyes were drawn to our table. Dean and I couldn't help but laugh. Louis, on the other hand, was quite shocked.

"Oh, classic Seamus, always blowing something up." I said cheekily.

Seamus looked as though he just witnessed a murder. His mouth gaped open, his frozen body, his soft gasp. His whole face was covered in ashes and his once-brown hair was grey.
