Walking through the doors of my new school, my palms are clammy and my heart is beating a mile a minute.
I don know why I'm so nervous. I've transferred schools before. I guess it's just been a while. Last time I transferred schools I was eight.
I'm an only child and my dad got his job transferred to New York. So, My dad, mom, and I packed everything up and moved all the way across the country. Joy.
I look down at the map of my new High School and notice my locker is number 286, so I start heading towards that direction. Because I am looking at my map, I'm not exactly paying attention to my surroundings.
I suddenly hit something hard. Thinking its a pole, of course. I look up to see a smirking boy. He's very handsome, he has dark brown hair that falls over his forehead, greenish-brown eyes, and a very well built body.
"Take a picture, it lasts longer." His voice snaps me out of my trance. I shake my head to get rid of my thoughts and look up to see a smirk etched to his face
"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention." I slightly smile at my rambling. His eyes look up and down my body before looking back up at me. I suddenly feel self conscious and move my books to cover up my chest. I should've worn a hoodie. i knew it. I scold myself.
"Don't let it happen again." He says harshly. What the hell? He was just checking me out, or I thought he was, and smirking at me and now he's all rude.
"Right." He starts to walk away. "Sorry!" I shout. I grimace and keep walking to find my locker.
After about two minutes of walking around the school, I finally find my designated locker and put in my combination.
Putting my stuff in and taking stuff out for my first hour, history, I close my locker door and begin to walk. My first hour is right by my locker, luckily, so I get there right before the first bell rings. I walk in with my books clutched to my chest.
I instantly feel everyone's eyes on me and I feel twice as nervous. Calm. I try to tell myself.
"Oh, you must be our new student." The teacher comes to greet me. She holds out her hand for me to shake, which I do.
"Yes, that's me." I nervously fidget with my charm bracelet.
"I'm Mrs. Glenn, welcome to Midwood high school." She smiles brightly at me. "Why don't you take the seat next to Bobbie."
"Okay." I smile. She hands me a textbook and points over to where I'll be sitting, I go to sit next to a girl with long brown, straight, hair and greenish-brown eyes. She smiles at me while moving her books to the other side of her.
"I'm Bobbie, welcome to hell." She giggles and I find myself joining in.
"Hi, I'm Jacey, it's nice to meet you."
"Wow, are you always so formal?" She chuckles.
"Most times yes, I guess I've just picked it up from my parents." I even laugh to myself.
"I get it." She shrugs. "So where did you come from? What state?"
"I came from Seattle, Washington and went to the school of Ingraham High School." I explain. She seems to be really interested in my life story.
"So what made you move here. All the way to New York?"
"My dads job transferred."
"Siblings?"
