Hunter's POV.

I wake up to my phone ringing the next day. I groan, blindly looking for the device.

"What is it?" I snap, looking up at the ceiling. Jacey's grip on my body tightens in her sleep and I look down at her, smiling.

"We have a package, boss," Zayn speaks into the phone hastily.

I shoot up from the bed.

"What kind of package?" I ask, going to my closet and finding my clothes; a suit.

"A box," he says. "No one has gone by it, so I have no further detailing."

"I'll be right there," I growl. "Don't let anybody touch it."

"Got it, boss," Zayn complies and we hang up the phone.

I take a quick shower, before getting dressed and combing my hair. After tying my shoes, I walk over to Jacey who is hugging the life out of a pillow. I lean down and press a chaste kiss to her forehead before leaving.

I hate the fact that I can't stay in bed with her today, but duty calls and in this case, it's more important. It's about her safety.

"Boss," a few of my guys get in step with me. "The package hasn't been touched."

I nod. "Get the explosive detector, Rick."

I go over to the monitoring screens and analyze the box sitting by the front door. "Who dropped it off?"

"We don't known, sir, they must've done it while we were sleeping."

I bite my lip, blowing air out of my nose. It doesn't look suspicious, but that may just be the point.

"I've got the detector, boss," Rick makes it back. I tell them to follow me, and we walk towards the don't door.

I open the barrier and look down at the box, not knowing what to expect. Whoever left it here made a point so that we didn't know who it was.

"Check it," I snap to Rick and he takes the device, smoothing it around the box. The beeping doesn't go off and I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"Should we open it?" Rick asks, looking at me for assistance.

I don't see any other choice. If it's not an explosive, then what is it? I would like to know as much as the next person.

"Yeah," I sigh, looking anxiously at the box. I take my pocket knife out of my jacket and squat down so I can cut open the tape.

I don't take my time in tearing open the cardboard. As soon as I do, though, I look away.

"Liam." Is all I say, before turning around, leaving the head behind.

Jacey's POV.

The sun shines through the big windows in Hunter's room, waking me from my sleep.
