When two motorists were found dead in their unmarked cars a short distance apart on a German road, police was mistified. After a lengthy forensic examination, the story was eventually revealed. The two motorists were driving in heavy fog. Each was guiding his car carefully at a  snail's pace near the middle of the road. At the moment of impact their heads were both out of the driver's side windows when they cracked together, leaving the unmarked cars to roll gently to a halt 200 yards apart.
