THE HOGWARTS EXPRESS already made it's way halfway through the trip to Hogwarts. You could only see greenery and mountains instead of villages. Thomas fell asleep and his head rested on the side of the compartment. Meanwhile, Fred, George, Cedric, and Y/n quietly chatted about their summers and what the new year held.

"Who do you think will win the quidditch cup this year?" Y/n asked her friends.

"Huffleputh of course! With me as the capitan!" Cedric replied. Fred, George, and Y/n started laughing uncontrollably. "You w-wish!" George was able to breathe out. Cedric was staring at his mates in disbelief.

"What do you mean?!" Yes, Gryffindor had good players but Huffleputh wasn't that bad.

"We have Potter and remind me how many people on your team survived an unforgivable curse from You-Know-Who?" Y/n explain in a  nonchalant way.

"Whatever." Cedric rolled his eyes and started fidgeting with his thumb. He knew she was right. He was a pretty good seeker but Potter, that kid had a gift nobody on his team possessed.

Out of nowhere, a croaky voice asked "What were you laughing about?" It was Thomas. "Sorry Thomas, didn't mean to wake you up." Fred apologized "Yeah." George agreed. Thomas stretched his arms out.

"But you do know there is no way win the house cup to Gryffindor." He said towards Cedric smirking.

"If I were a third-year, I'd be careful with what I say to prefects." Cedric threw at Thomas with a serious face.

Y/n kept glancing back and forth from Cedric to Thomas. This certainly was an interesting situation. A light smirk had appeared on the Hufflepuths face. Thomas gulped and looked at the floor. Was he taking it seriously?

"I was just joking!" Cedric laughed and messed up Thomas' hair. He left out a deep breath he didn't know he was holding in. Soon enough the entire compartment was laughing.

All of a sudden the train stopped and ice-cold air had entered the compartment causing its occupants to get goosebumps. They all looked at each other. None of them knew what was going on. It was never this cold during this time of year. The windows were covered in frost and everything was cold.

Colors from everyone's faced drained. "What's going on?" Y/n managed to say through the uncomfortableness she was feeling. The lights turned off. That never happened.

Even more alarmed they looked at each other. They sat in silence highly aware of their surroundings. Shortly after the door to their compartment started sliding open. They could see a skinny hand with long fingers open it. Without hesitation, Y/n pulled out her wand and held it firmly.
