THOMAS STOOD UP ON his toes and attempted to find their parents in the giant crowd. Seeing they weren't going to find them there, Y/n turned around. Just as she did so, she bumped into someone, someone way taller than her.
"Really, you'd leave without saying goodbye?"
The familiar voice struck her like a bus. Cedric was the person she jammed into. She put her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly while chuckling. She saw the rest of their friends behind them, already with their parents.
She greeted the adults and went up to the rest of her friends. Her and Thomas gave each of them a hug and promised to meet that summer.
"Fair well my companions in crime." Y/n said, while bowing.
They exchanged one last laugh and each of them went their separate ways. Except for Y/n and Thomas. They needed to find their families, and knowing them, they'd probably be together. Both Y/n's dads and Thomas' parents worked in the Ministry of Magic. Thomas' dad was the only one out of the four who wasn't an Auror. They were friends ever since Y/n or Thomas could remember.
The two stared at the sea of wizards and witches. "Where d'you reckon they?" Thomas said, frowning, scratching the back of his neck.
"Maybe behind you?"
The sound of Y/n's dad's, Nate, warm voice made them turn around in an instance. "Dad!" Yin exclaimed as she ran up to him and hugged him. He was standing next to her other dad, Oliver. "My turn." Oliver opened his arms as she finished hugging Nate.
Tasha, Thomas' mother was standing next to them, with her husband Mark on her side and Ava, Thomas' little sister. She was going to join Hogwarts in 1995. He ran up to them and gave them a huge hug. "We've missed you." His mother told him as she took a good look at him.
"Have you gotten taller? Just wait a year and you'll be taller than me." She commented lovingly.
"Thomas!" His little sister exclaimed over the noisy platform. "Come here." He lifted her up on his back.
Both families were smiling, enjoying being back together. They made their way out of the platform, through the wall and just like that they were in the muggle world. They walked to the parking lot, the families conversing.
