Chapter 20...Last chapter!!

Hazel looked terrible. Her father looked worse. And, well her mother she was sobbing. Hard. Hazel looked so weak and tiered. It was hard to imagine this man who had fought tooth and nail for his daughter's life was going to lose his battle to this. A freak heart attack. This man of who I wanted to get to know and ultimately has him for his daughter's hand in marriage. Of course, I thought I would have longer since we are only 17 I was in no rush to get married. And, I don't think Hazel is either. So I need to ask him. But, I can't reach him. He's in a coma. And I totally believe the whole they can hear you but can't respond kind of thing. I just wish they weren't pulling the plug. I wish he would wake up. I want him to wake up. Hazel needs him. His wife needs him. The twins need him...I need him. He's the only father I really had and I can't lose him and my real father. I just can't. I wish I didn't have to. No should have to deal with the loss of loved ones. Ever really. No one should have to die when they're so young. Take Agustus for example. 17 and left. Obviously not on purpose, but still. It's not fair. It never has been and I don't think it ever will be. Stupid world. Why?

When Hazel walks out of his room she is sobbing. Uncontroably sobbing, in this case, I have no idea how to comfort here. I'm her boyfriend, I should know how to comfort her. Shouldn't I? It's so confussing. Death is a strange thing. I hate it. No one should have to die.

"Hazel, I'm so sorry."

"I shouldn't be so sad, you lost both of yours in one day, haven't seen your siblings in about a year or more."

"That doesn't mean anything, and you don't need to worry about me, ok, I'm, fine. Ok?"

"O-o-ok, well they're pulling the plug in a few. Do you want to say good-bye to him? He always liked you."

"Sure, ok."

When I go into his room I sit down next to him. "So, hey it's me Issac. Umm, well I can start out by promising to protect Mrs. Lancaster and Hazel. Your grandkids are going to have a good life, I can also promise you that. Well will you say hi to Agustus, tell him his kids are beautiful and amazing. Thank you and you were the best father I ever had."

It's time. We all go into his room. Hazel and her mom are crying. Hazel's mom is pulling the plug. Well, more like her and Hazel are. Their shacking hands are on it. They pull on the count of 3. When it's pulled up, nothing happens. The heart monitor keeps beating. Hazel gasps, "He's alive," she whispers.

Then it clicks. He's alive
